Hey y'all!
So I've seen and heard the "up to 4 oz recommendation on the wheat grass dose.
I picked up a wheat grass kit with soil, fertilizer, trays and seeds and the steve meyrowitz(SP? you know - sproutman). book 'wheatgrass nature's finiest medicine'
He states " a therapeutic dose should be 7-10 oz per day"
Not exact quote - can't find it in the book now. I was really surprised.
Anyone else read this? Any other input?

Start off slow and small. Work your way up. :)

That's a ton of juice, it's gonna take a TON of wheatgrass to make that. I grab about a 1-1.5 inch diameter bundle and just chew it. Chew it until you can't grab any more juice out of there. In about 30 minutes I swear u'll feel a natural high.

i read the book and got up to approx 4 oz at a time orally, twice a day. I had a pretty crazy high after consuming it.
I probably only did it for two weeks. i was growing my own and it started taking too much time to grow so much! I was drinking a tray or more a day. Everyday I was soaking, planting, maintaining- craziness!!
If I was to fall ill though, i know I would do it all over again.

I was doing 2 oz. a day. That seemed good for me. Experiment. It's your body.
My teacher went all the way up to 24 ounces w/in about a 2 week span. I'm doubting he's touched it since. :p

I have read that anything over 4 per day is wasted because your body will not absorb it.
I can not recall where I read that.

If you can drink as much, good for you, but for most people and myself, i had to start 1/2 oz and increased it slowly. It just gave me nausea but i also found out that some wheat grass could had mold it gives you nausea. So it is important that you find a good place for the wheat grass.
I juice it with lemon and apple, it helps me to drink it. I have been trying to grow it, very challenging i find.
Best wishes!
