I no longer have health insurance. The company I work for is so small that they do not offer it. I have always had health insurance in the past it seems, but I haven't had to go to the doctor very much since I've been living this mostly raw vegan lifestyle. Anyway...my question is, how many of you out there also don't have health insurance, and do not go to the doctor, and stay healthy and rely on raw living food as your medicine.

I have health insurance for the rest of my life through my retirement...
In your case I would put the money that used to pay for your share of your health insurance into a separate savings account to be used, should you ever fall off a horse and break a bone. There are lots of super healthy people who never have the need to see a doctor. Keep up the raw life and you will be fine.:)

I've NEVER had sick insurance. I've broken bones ~ fingers and toes and laid down my motorcycle and injured my knee and ribs and never gone to a doctor. I've made it to 60+.

I agree w/ Emma. Put something away out of each paycheck and IF you NEED to go to the doctor... well then... you've got SOMEthing. If you don't, use it to go on a cruise or something. :)

My employer insures me. I very seldom go to the doctor, not a big fan of doctors. I don't go for normal checkups or anything like that.

I only go to places like the emergency room when something happens. Last time was a few years back when I inadvertently set my hand on fire while working on my lawnmower, with my hands covered in gas....

LOL - I went just for pain killers, that was extremely painful. Walked in with my hand in a punchbowl full of ice. They asked me what happened and I lifted my hand out of the ice and showed her. She let me go back right away, no wait.

When I had to call in sick for 2 weeks because of that my boss asked me if I had a note from the doctor - I told him I did not get one, but sent the pics to him via email.

He replied back saying "Don't ever send me something like that again, hope you get better" - LOL

HAH!!! LMASSSAO!

Yeah, nice to work for oneself. When I demand a note it's never from my doctor.

Suggestion ~ keep some PURE peppermint essential oil on hand and some PURE raw shea or cocoa butter for times like that. Ummm, better yet, don't do that again, o.k.?

My employer gives me full benefits so I don't have to pay for my insurance at all, but I never use health insurance anyway, even when I wasn't raw. Now that I'm 100% raw, I have even less of an incentive to get it. I'd rather use my personal income for emergency room visits, if need be.
