Im wondering whether to eat organic almonds with the skin or better to peel it, there seem to be good Flavonoids in the skin that can act as antioxidants in the body but then what about the cyanide or anything else that may be bad in it?

If they are the Baby Green Almonds, with the skin on.

Minute quantities of cyanide and "bad stuff" in foods actually makes your body stronger. I'd say, skins on!

Skins off! The skins contain tannic acid which for you ladies in the forum can spell bad news as it hinders the absorption of iron and other trace minerals. Also the skins are pretty rough on your digestive system especially after soaking.

I always soak and eat with the skins on.

Skins on for sure. The almonds that we eat have been cultivated so that the tannic acid concentrations are negligible. Many plants have antinutrients, but not in concentrations high enough to bat an eye at.

From what I know, the blanched almonds are almost allways heated.
