Hello everyon!
I'm on day one of the MC. Part of my lifestyle makeover. I'll only be doing 10 days since it's my fist time. I could surely use some support! :)

I have done Master Cleanse several times in the past (probably started about 15 years ago!) I have never made it to 10 days though! I started one this past April 27 but only made it 4 days ( I think 7 or 8 is my high but that was long ago). So I started again on Monday DETERMINED to last the 10 days! I just want to accomplish that and to experience it. I also want to get my head in the right place for going all raw after the MC. Today I've been having more difficulty than the first 2 days but nothing too major. I read somewhere that day 3 is a hard one for some reason... Oh well. Glad you are here, we can help each other out!

Hello everyon!

Hey katnip, I am starting day 1 right now. I've got a quart of water and I'm about toss in 2 tsp of sea salt.

I have two reasons I am doing this:

1) I am pretty confident I have some form of chronic sinusitis/sinus polyps, despite an ENT telling me years ago I was OK. If the MC fails to help clear up my sinuses and allow me to enjoy life again, I will have to go to see a whole lot of doctors to use scorched earth to fight it. I'd prefer the holistic path. Here's hoping, MC!

2) I've been working out for 6 weeks now, 3x/week during the first 3 weeks and then 6x/week during the second 3 weeks, but my weight has been completely constant, even when I was 100% raw for over half of that time. Each workout was also high intensity (CrossFit 3x/week). Historically I'd drop 1lb/day on raw vegan until I normalize around 185, but this time around my body just refused to drop any weight. I'm hoping the MC will shake things loose inside and let me get back on track.

I just finished, I made it to 5 days and off in all the wrong ways. I felt great while on it. To me peer pressure was what got me. I think if lived in a cave and wasn't around my sad friends I might do better. Hang in there, it did seem to get easier for me after the 2nd day.

I'm on day 2 right now. Down 2 lbs, all water weight I'm sure.

Hunger pangs started hitting me today. I talked with someone in my company who has done a MC and he said just keep drinking juice when you feel uncomfortable.

Feeling tired a lot, taken a few powernaps already.

Skin feels weird -- sometimes feels super smooth, other times I feel part of my skin is about to break out.

The internal salt bath AKA salt water flush is quite pleasant. I know some people complain about the taste but I think it's great -- it's like sipping a large bowl of salty soup.

The lemonade mix tastes great. I'm using organic Grade B maple syrup, organic lemons (about 1 lemon per glass = 2 tablespoons), cayenne pepper, and 1 cup of bottled spring water.

I'm using the chocolate flavored Smooth Move at night before bed.

I really want to work out but don't feel I have the strength, so I've put my workout programs on hold. I'll hit it hard again when I return to solid food.

All in all, I'd say the master cleanse is a lot easier to do than a juice feast -- requires much fewer materials, less time, and tastes consistently good. Lots of intel says the next day or two will be very rough, so let's see how it goes for me. Onward!

I'm on Day 8 right now and feel AMAZING.

Futureboy, hello! Definitely drink the lemonade whenever you feel hungry. It took me a few days to realize that it's much easier to make a big pitcher up all at once, just do the math with how much water your pitcher holds and add lemon juice and syrup. (I did 6 servings at a time, then drink whenever hungry) Don't add cayenne til you pour it to be served, it gets hotter and hotter as it sits there.

I have LOVED the ease and simplicity of this cleanse. I also haven't felt strong enough to do much exercise other than rebounding here and there. I figure it's best to wait til I go back to solid food (I'm planning 10 days) so that the increase in calories is met with the increase in activity, hopefully minimizing any weight gain

Day 3 was hard for me but I think if you are feeling bad, doing a 2nd SWF might be a good idea. I haven't done that but looking back, on the harder days it might have helped. And just keep going-- it gets better and better!:)

Awesome thanks for the info Raediance! I'm powering through to the end of Day 2 and feeling good. As a trial I went down to the kitchen where everyone was having dinner. I was able to enjoy the smells of the food but was able to repel the desires to eat them, so that felt good.

My forehead is tingling a lot. I hope this is good because I am really hoping and praying the MC will completely clear out my sinuses, and this tingling feeling I never felt on raw vegan or even while on the juice feast (I'm guessing the lemon-cayenne combo is packing a serious punch!).

I would totally be fine with a second SWF today but overall I'm pretty good. Onward!
