Is it true that toothsoap or any soap has glycerine, even if not added to it? Doesn't the soap making process create glycerine? Also, is the lye the soap is made with destructive to teeth?

It needs to be under 55% glycerine to be effective. Cheaper to use Dr. Bronner's bar or liquid soap instead of tooth soap and it contains only 2-3%. Tooth soap I think is a similar percentage.

Is there any way to tell glycerine content?

i like uncle harrys nonabrasive tooth paste. cheaper than toothsoap--although it might not last as long.
