If you don't like it straight up, what kind of recipes are there?

I bought one, thinking I might like it by itself....but I don't. Any ideas would be GREAT!!! :D

I love them in smoothies. My favorite is with banana, dates, vanilla and cacao.

Smoothies are definitely the way to go if you don't like them on their own...

I like mine with orange juice, nut milk and a dash of vanilla... tastes like a creamsicle

Smoothies!

Also, I use them in custard/creme, I make a custard creamy thing using young coconuts, coconut oil and some dates. Great over other desserts.

You can use it in place of water in most recipes. It gives the dish a slightly different taste. But the simplest thing is to just make a smoothie.

I Love Young Coconuts! I use the meat and water in many recipes including:

savory soups
cookies
smoothies
cakes
pies
frosting for cakes/pies

I add it to almost everything. Yummy! :D

I love young coconuts! My only issue with them is that when I try to get the pulp out, I always end up scraping the sides inadvertently, and they always have chunks of husk on them that don't taste good.

The best DVD i found about how to preparre raw young coconut in a meal is "Nuts about coconuts". I am absolutely in awe with their creativity. They are good on how to open them.

You can also google to find some interesting recipes.

Have fun!

I like to Vitamix blend young coconut juice & pulp along with a couple of ounces of fresh sprouts.
