I'm really excited, becuse i just figured out what chard is in my language, and that it is actually avaliable everywhere. Great!
But
There are two kinds here: baby chard leaves, and huge chard on big white stalks. Which kind do you guys use? I've tried the baby ones and they're great, but i'm a little intimidated by the really big ones... What do you say?

I love chard, because it's so easy to grow and I've always liked the taste. I use it at any size.

i add swiss chard or rainbow chard to green smoothies, or i add slived veggies and use the big leaves for wraps

I find chard to be pretty mild tasting in the green smoothies.
I've found that is doesn't last in the fridge as long as kale and collards....so plan to use up quickly.
Anyone else notice this, or maybe just my source?
T-Bird, I find the same thing regarding kale vs. chard.
I get different colors of chard, sometimes with a red, orange, yellow, or white stem. I haven't had the baby chard you mentioned. I haven't seen it, but I will be on the lookout. I like to mix it up with my greens. :)
Thanks for sharing!

WOW !
I cannot wait for my taste buds to change and actually like the taste of bitter greens like you guys!
I can only juice chard and drink it in shots :p
Chard really turns the green juice color to a nasty looking deep greeny brown.. bla

yeah im not a fan of the big chard. too bitter or something. funny cuz i LOVE beetgreens and chard is very closely related i believe. anyway, ive found it works if you chiffonade it for salad, along with other things chiffonaded like mustard greens, collards, etc, all of those tougher greens are made easier to eat if they are cut chiffonade style, and then mixed with a tahini dressing.
ive also made "chard chips"--like kale chips but with chard

I like the red chard. White burns the back of my throat for some reason...
