Hey, I am thinking of juice feasting, and I want to know if I can use my vita-mix instead of a juicer(which I do not have the money to buy atm) because it says a lot about juicing with juicers on the sites I have been looking at.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks everyone:)

A Vita-Mix is a blender which means it does not separate the liquid from the pulp. A juicer separates them. IF you want to use the Vita-Mix as a blender, then you'll have to blend and strain.

Would a sieve be sufficient?

EDIT: I would also feel bad leaving all the pulp over.. just throw it out to compost or.. any suggestions with what it could be used for if I am not eating it?

Why not just do a smoothie feast and drink the pulp since it's necessary for good bowel conditioning?

You can use a sieve but it wont be as clean as it would with say cheesecloth.

You can compost it; feed it to worms or use in a buger/loaf. There are recipes others have posted on that particular question.

na you can totally make juice in a vita mix - many many people have.

get a nut mylk bag and after you blend... pour it into the bag and squeeze out the juice. then just compost the fibre or make crackers!!! (adding flax etc obviously)

Yeah I might do a smoothie feast with just fruits and veggies and water and consume it all, I'm sure I would get positive benefits even if they may not be the same benefit's from a juice feast.

Thanks revvell.

Yeah thing is if I made other food with the left over pulp I owuld just want to eat it, and then it wouldn't be a juice feast ha:)

Thanks though, think I might try a smoothie feast.
