I'm wondering which kind of greens are not bitter or spicy? I want to change up my greens a bit but after my mustard purchase booboo (thought I was buying another greens....collard?), I'm afraid to venture out again. I really like spinach but know I need to switch them out form time to tome. Any suggestions?

I prefer, baby spinach, kale, collards, romaine, iceberg lettuce, green leaf lettuce, and cabbage.

Mache!

I buy it in prewashed boxes just like spinach comes in at Whole Foods.
Delicious!

At the moment I'm sipping a recipe that is Victoria Boutenko's current favorite. Mine, too. I blended 3 ripe pears with 3/4 quarters of a bunch of fresh oganic curly leaf parsely (and 2 cups water).

Very different and delicious. :D

CHICKWEED! its probly growing in your yard! super-yum and super mind. not the mouse eared hairy kind though, the smooth kind, stellaria.

also, MINT, corn salad (mache), cilantro, chervil, basil, turnip greens (good in salads but probly not in smoothies) sorrel (forage it) miners lettuce/winter purslane (forage it), edible red amaranth (grow it), nettles (forage it-- eat only BLENDED though or it will sting. and pick with gloves), plantain (the herb, not the banana-looking thing...plantain is probably ALSO growing in your yard)

ok, I'm sorry if this seems disrespectful - but the only thing I have growing in my yard is a pile of SAND. This state is so dry and so hot, the only thing that I can see that thrives are the lizards and the BUGS. ;)
