I posted in this forum a few years ago. Actually ate 100% raw for about a year and a half and had great success with it. For a variety of reasons I ended up adding steamed vegetables, whole grains and for a while raw milk products and eggs back into my diet.
Over time I've realized that I'm slowly but surely migrating back to a fully raw diet. I just feel better. I was doing a fitness challenge at another site but when I posted what I eat people ran the other way and their eating posts ended up being about "moderation", "eating all food groups" and "having your vice and still losing weight." Over three weeks I've just increasingly felt like the odd duck out.
Then I got an inspired thought! If you want to return to 100% raw then find a place where you can be around other people with like desires - so here I am. Well, duh! How simple was that?
I pulled out Alissa's book along with a few other raw books in order to inspire myself to greatness.
I have a few obstacles to work on but I'll as for help concerning those in the main forum area.
I'm 54 (almost anyway) an RN, an Advanced Health and Fitness Specialist and a newly licensed Massage Therapist with a goal to be certified as a Myoskeletal Therapist. The last year of massage school just about robbed me of every speck of health due to lack of sleep and a killer commute but a high raw diet is helping my recovery tremendously. I can't wait to see what happens with 100% raw.
I'm happily married with two sons away in college and I live in a log cabin. I'm not all that great at introducing myself so if I skipped something important just ask. Well I'm editing this because I forgot to tell you or even sign my real name. It's Lannette.
I can't wait to get to know everyone.
