I am starting late on the Challenge but..
So here we go again, praying that this time I do it right and stick with it.
One question, I have a lot of brussell sprouts and Brocolli that I do not want to waste, so I will be steaming these no butter just sea salt and lfresh emon juice until they are gone. I also have two loaves of Manna Bread from Whole Foods. I cannot afford to throw food away.
Also I am reading different opinions about Agave, some say that it is 100% raw others say nay any thoughts. I buy Madhava Raw pure Organic Agave Nector.
Good luck to all

I am SO like you and hate to waste food, too!!
What I've read is that you can "steam" veggies by pouring hot water onto them. Good luck on yuor journey!! :)

If you have a juicer, you can juice the veggies you have left. If you have a blender, you can blend and strain to create juice. Or you can make your dish and invite a friend over for dinner and share it with them. You can follow through with your 100% raw challenge. Right now. Without wasting food.
I used to be able to consume agave nectar when I first went raw, now I'm super sensitive to it and it gives me a headache and makes me feel spacey. I no longer use it. Simply listen to your body with anything (Raw) you're consuming, rather than feeling like you have to justify it based on what anyone else is doing. If you enjoy it, go for it. I've heard the arguments against it too, but I used it anyway. Until I made the choice not too ~ that's the key I think.
Best wishes on your journey. It's exciting to become Raw. It's not a sacrifice, but a gift in my opinion.

I've abandoned things along the way too.
Initially - I was all about the Braggs' - then found out it probably worse than a natural organic regular soy sauce.....What deception!
I used agave some - then I read that even if raw it might be like HFCS to your body - so I went back to honey......
Sometimes - you can only take so many steps at once though, so you do what you can, learn more, and see how you react to things.....then take some more steps...

I never met a Brussel sprout I could stand, but I have come to absolutely LOVE raw broccoli.

I will try to make some sort of vegetable soup with them w/ sea salt and spices. Regarding Agave I prefer it to the taste of Honey, honey leaves a weird after taste, in my opinion. Regarding Braggs I will research that as I have several bottles of it.
Thanks for your help and good luck to you also

I have always loved Brussell sprouts I steam and eat them the same way that I eat Brocolli.

Thanks so much for your reply. I am just looking for as much motivation as possible as this is not the first time that I have tried to go Raw. I am going to try to make a soup out of the Brocolli and Brussell sprouts usings my Blentec and a lot of spices.
Good luck on your journey also

Braggs Amino is the one exception where I'll be a supreme hypocrite. DO NOT USE IT. It has MSG in it.
Braggs Raw Apple Cidar Vinegar is fine, not the same.
You're very welcome and thank you for your well wishes too. I'm climbing a new wall in my journey, a testament that 2 years into this still brings forth learning opportunities. :)
Much peace,
Crystal

I really just lightly steam them in my steamer, but tonight I will try to make a vegetable soup using my Blentec.
Wish me luck LOL!
