Spanish Walnut Cake

Anyone ever heard of this? I comes in huge two foot round loafs at the whole food store.
It says ingredients: walnuts, dates. Nothing else.

I've tried something similiar found at a local organic grocery store. There were three different kinds of Spanish "breads" made from walnut and dates, walnuts and apricot, walnuts and figs. They were okay, but tasted old. Not as good as making your own in the food processor.

I've had this fresh from farmer's markets in Spain and it is wonderful.
But whenever I buy it in the US, I find that it tastes stale and dry and old, which is a pity. I can't wait to go back go Spain!
