Tongue - cracks..?

I have a crack down the middle of my tounge, and i've heard several (different) explanations on why tongue-cracks happen and what they mean.

Any of you know more about these things? I've had it for quite some time now..

I don't know the cause but I have them too.

In chinese medicine, the tongue is a barometer of health. Depending on where the crack is located it more than likely has something to do with healing/detox occuring in a particular organ or more than one. For example, I know the spleen/stomach is in the center middle of the tongue, kidneys/bladder top center etc.
