This might sound odd, but i've practically never had a craving for anything in my entire life. I mean i've been really hungr fantasising about what foods i'd like to eat, but not many cravings here.
Until now.
Shit!
I have a craving! I want vegan pizza!!!! I leaving rehersal being really hungry, and passed by the vegan pizza place i've never been to. stooopid thing to do.
When i got home i made all kinds of small things to try to "catch# the craving (fats, carbs...), but even though i feel full (ehem, very full that is) i have the craving! It's still here! And it says: pizza! bread! ice cream! chocolate!
This is such a wierd feeling, i'm glad i've experienced it, but i have no idea what to do. will it go away?

If you feel full and still have the craving I can almost gaurantee you that this is an emotional craving and not one of hunger or need. This would certainly be the case for myself.
What I suggest that you do, is take a deep breath, stop thinking about the craving for a moment or two and just relax and feel what it is like to just be, without being attatched to anything, just sit/stand there and empty your head for a moment.
Then let come up, what emotions or feelings are sending you the desire to evade them in the form of a craving for food that your body does not need. It works for me to really differentiate between food and weight and emotions, our emotions are nothing to do with food, we must feel them.
I hope that you find that helps you.

exactly...mr is right, just binge on smoothies or something, then check yourself, it will be gone. you'll be in control again.
then the emotional part just becomes more manageable, but I agree, if you want to cry then cry, or whatever....also going for a walk, or run REALLY helps with emotions. But don't identify yourself with emotions too much or you'll get stuck there, just feel them and let them go and then feel happiness, like a moment by moment thing, just because you're feeling A in the previous moment, doesn't mean you have to feel the same in the following moment. Hope that makes sense!

That's basically what i did as soon as i got home. I quickly marinated a few tbsps of sunflowerseeds in olive oil, pepper, seasalt and herbs to get a pizza-ish sensation of salt, fat and herbs

Oh boy, I may be slammed for this but it's what I see. Yes, drink the smoothies as mentioned and have sex! It's your hormones healing & rebuilding. The craving...hmmm...it's that not getting any, bingeing on chocolate thing. We've all been there...hahaa. I think your body wants something and your mind is telling you it's food. It ain't food. Grab your partner or take care of it yourself. :D On a serious note, put some maca in your smoothies. It will help you not lose your mind so much and work in partnership with your body on the hormone shifting front. It's most excellent.

Well you know what peta says:

and, to be honest, I have experienced this first hand. ;)
Hah, this is an interesting discussion. :)
Although I don't have anything to suggest on that venue,... as far as pizza cravings go, I was thinking that you could make yourself some delicious raw marinara/pizza sauce. That might take care of that. Or maybe something with Italian flare... like sliced tomatos, basil, mushrooms, avocado, topped with olive oil and fresh black pepper and some Italian herbs. You could also make a raw dessert to take care of your sweet tooth.

This thread http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/showthread.php?t=50210 has a picture of a great brand, 'Go Raw', that has a wonderful pizza flavor cracker that really hits the spot. I know that Whole Foods carries this brand, as well as my local smaller HFS. (this thread also has an interesting side discussion :))
Another good brand for dehydrated goodies (I don't have a dehydrator so I end up buying my crackers and raw granola bars) is 'Matter of Flax'.
