My name is Cathy, and I live in Georgia with my husband, 18dd, 15ds, 10ds, and 6dd. We live on a small farm with chickens, rabbits, goats, dogs, cats, hairless rat, and a beta fish ;) We have had sheep, and horses, but they got too expensive to feed. Fresh eggs is one thing that I really miss :( Now we have an overabundance of eggs since I was the main one that ate them.
We are a homeschooling family, and our oldest is about to start college in the fall. She wants to major in animal science, and possibly minor in horticulture. She loves her animals, and she does us a HUGE veggie garden every year. This year she had to add several raised beds because I told her I needed
more veggies, and I gave her my list.
I found the raw way of living by doing a lot of research on ways to heal my liver and gall bladder. My doctor took me off all grains, and I took it a step further. I have checked out a ton of books and cookbooks on raw eating, and have spent several hundred dollars in the past week on appliances and food.
My kids are giving me Alissa's book tomorrow for Mother's Day :D I asked if I could have it early since I knew what it was, but they wouldn't give in.
I still have a lot of questions, and comments about raw living, but I will save them for another post.
Is there anyone here that lives in Georgia? I would love to have a
"RAW" friend :)
Blessings!!
