US - where is the best place to get wheat berries....

Last time I order - years ago - I got from Mumms in Canada. No complaints - but when I went to order some new - I thought the prices were rather high.

I googled it up, came up with wheatgrasskits.com. MUCH lower prices, organic, can I assume the same quality? Anyone with experience?

Any other sources you're willing to share?

Looking for the highest quality at the best prices, organic. Aren't we all??

Find an organic farmer in your area and ask him to sell you some.

im pretty sure i used to get mine from "the mail order catalog for healthy eating"...was recommended to me by a guy who grew wheatgrass. its been a few years though so i cant attest to the quality presently. shipping kills you on alot of stuff though...will the stuff from your local HFS not work? or not good enough quality?

I haven't seen any wheat berries for sprouting at the stores....

I'm in the middle of chicago with no friendly farmers in sight.....

Decide to get from wheatgrasskits.com -

But at the end $25 shipping charge???

Back to googling around!

Update for those so inclined to be interested:

went through another site - at the end 40 in shipping charges....I went back to wheatgrasskits.com because I wanted to get the "kit" with all the trays anyway.

Oh well - there is no free lunch!

LOL:D
