The French One

As you can already guess with my profile name, I'm well, French.
I'm a 24 year old girl and I'm still student for the moment.
Concerning raw food, I've long been eating the equivalent of the SAD diet (French version, so with lot of cheese, meat, bread, but not a lot of junk food).
Problem was, I always felt tired and regularly suffered from anaemia. There are also many occurrences of cancer in my family and I suffer from asthma, which was a burden when I tried to exercise.
I discovered the raw food diet quite recently, after reading two books on nutrition (one from the French dr Seignalet, and one from Mr Allen Carr). Basically, they both explained that one should avoid meat, dairy, and cooked food (at least, food cooked at high temperature). Dr Seignalet also gave many examples of his patients being cured from "incurable" diseases.
I felt like I had finally found what I was looking for. It just felt enlightening and logical.
I read those books in march, I then made researches about raw food (at first because I wanted to avoid vitamin deficiencies and educate myself about nutriments) and I finally found this great forum.
I'm a newbie concerning raw food, and to date, I've been 80% / 90% raw for three weeks ( the rest being some cooked vegetables or a organic chocolate or eating fish). I'm trying to make a soft transition toward 100% maybe soon, maybe later, it'll depend on what my body will tell me. I've also bought a blender this week and have been enjoying green smoothies for three days now!
I've also begun to run again, for three weeks now, twice a week, and yesterday, I was able to run without taking asthma medication before! I felt great and my breathing felt easy all the way (before, I would cough and hiss).
So, after lurking here a while, I feel like sharing with the wonderful community you are, and I will need your support, for I know that amongst my family and friends, my new way of life will seem quite odd (imagine a French eating no cheese or bread... the end of the traditional "baguette"... or worse, wine...).
So, thank you for reading this! And thanks to the creators of this wonderful website.
