The wheat grass juicing season is over...
Today is the first wild grass juicing day!

The wild grass adventure is here, lasting until the middle of October.

I have done this for many years... and I'm still alive...:)
Wild grass juicing summertime and then wheat grass juice during the winter months. A healthy balance.

The taste of the wild grass juice is different, stronger, more “wild” and not that soft, “balmy” glycoside sweetness of the wheat grass juice. I always dilute the wild grass juice with water.

Raw, dark green, fresh, natural, organic juice from the forest meadows! The real, high octane energizer. Wow!

Comments? Anyone else into wild grass juicing?

YES!!!!!!!!! I love wild grass juicing. I posted about a week ago about the beginning of the wild grass season, I guess I live in a warmer climate than you do. It's incredible. You get as much grass as you can drink for free and almost no effort.
I love it mixed with cucumber and pineapple juice.

Colorawdo girl - yes, find yourself a nice unpolluted meadow and pick grass and juice it. The grass is best when it is about to flower, but hasn't yet sent up a flower. At any stage it is good, though.

Rawstrength:
I now discoverred your thread “Wild Grass juice!”.
I´ll try your idea with cumber and pineapple juice. To teach raw friends the benefit of wild grass juice.

“...well I will not really be able to graze there...no electric for my juicer...”

Hehehe…
Imagine when I sometimes go deep into the wilderness of spiritual reasons, contemplation and meditation. Imagine Europe’s last real wilderness, 1500 square miles alpine wilderness, 3 weeks trekking, 94 lbs backpack at the start; you have to bring all raw foods with you, no roads, alone with eagles, and if you are lucky you’ll meet a bear, or if you’re very lucky a wolf or two… oh, they are nice, shy, but curious.

Q: What do you think I bring with me?
A: A mechanical juicer…

Healthy Juicer, google it. I remove and leave at home the Clamp and Suction Base. The weight of the rest is only about 1 lb (470 g or about 0,5 kg). I tape a small plastic bag around the juice outlet, balance the juicer on my knee and make fresh green juice of mountain grass and leaves from different bushes and plants.

Living, fresh, green juice diluted with glacial water. A true wilderness cocktail for raw backpack enthusiasts.

I live on over half an acre of former prairie. Recently, I've been looking at the lush grass and thought it would be so great, if I could just juice that instead of growing wheatgrass. So you are saying I can do this, right? I already use the dandelions from my yard and pick nettles in the forest where I walk my dog. So I really CAN juice the grasses in the yard?! How cool is that!:D

Can you juice wild grass ?
I remeber when I was a kid that two boys from my class ate (or smoked ) wildgrass and go really sick. Since then I had this idear that it was "poisionous" (spelling?).

Is it just any kind of grass or ??? Im europe so the grass sorts here are maby a bit different than the US. But if you can just any grass why not :D Looove the idear.

Wow - very cool!

I gave my manual juicer away when I had the money and got an electric one. Never thought of camping out with it!

Will have to get another one now!

Yes, the meadow is the best source of greens :)
You don't even need a juicer, just take some fruits with you to the meadow and take a bite of fruit and a bite of wild greens in turns :)

that sounds divine! and I checked out the healthy juicer, only 40$! awesome! and how awesome you can just bring it with you on your adventures!
How awesome would it be to run and roll around in a meadow, harvest some grass, and juice it right there and enjoy it...what a nice thought!
