B- Watermelon
S- pye
L- Kelp noodles w/ olive oil and garlic, tomatos, onion
D- Salad
I was thinking of doing a juice feast for a few days to help get the toxins out.
Have a rawkin day

Day 8. Yay!
Had a showdown with some fries in the kitchen but I talked myself into slowly backing out of the kitchen like I was talking someone down from a ledge. Whew!
Still raw. Have a tummy ache (gastritis?). Maybe from too many nuts. :( More fruit today.
Have a great day!

mstrish: I hope you are feeling better.
Happy Friday to All: I went to a Raw food preparation class last night and I had so much fun. A gentleman from my church teaches them and the food was soooooo good. This is what we made:
Bananna/Strawberry "Milk" Shake
Eggless Egg Salad
Marinated Baby Bok Choy
Portabello Mushrooms Guacamole boates
Blueberry/Coconut Scones w/Honey Butter and Blueberry Jam
There are a total of three classes and next week, I will not eat before class because we taste everything and also they give you left-over's to take home. I feel my Raw prep. skills have gotten so much better since I've been taking classes. So, this is what is on the munu today:
Pre B: Two glasses of Water with lemon. (really gets things moving)
B: GS (Spinich, Mango, Orange, Bananna, Rejuvelac)
B2: Blueberry/Coconut Scone w/Honey Butter and Blueberry Jam
L: Ginger Almond Nori Rolls/Creamy Spinich
S: Fruit
D: Strawberry/Cocunut Oil, Vanilla Bean, Cashew/Rejuvelac Shake
With all of this great food, I have not had a single craving. This proves to me that 100% Raw is the only way for me to go from here on out.
I so glad I took this challenge. I feel and look good. Life is bright and sunny!!!!
Blessings All.

life is bright and sunny! amen to that!
Has anyone ever seen a purple coconut? I cracked open a young green coconut today for breaki and was shocked to see pink coconut water pour out into my bowl. And then when I looked at the coconut meat it was the most beautiful shade of soft lavender! It was total princess food. smelled and tasted fine so i just laughed and ate it.

Never seen one kid. I did not know that they existed.

Thank you Susan. I am so blessed to live in the San Francisco Bay Area. It is a bastion for Raw foods and alternative lifestyles. There are so many restaurants and people all over that indulge in this lifestyle that it makes it so easy to maintain a Raw food eating pattern.
Maybe you can teach classes at your church?

Hello everyone! I am on day 27! I am feeling so good on this diet. It's not really a diet though. It is something that you need to believe is right and stick with it! I am still discouraged with my weight. What is going on? I just stay the same. I am 5'11" and I weigh 165. I was 155 before my last (6th) baby so I know I have weight to lose. I want to be 140. So that's a huge turkey that I need to lose. Imagine carrying around a 25 lb turkey that's a lot! :) Anyway, I'm going to stick with it. Last night we had taco salad with a very yummy "meat". It's 3 c walnuts, 1/3 c braggs, 1t ground coriander, and 1t cumin, food process to a meal and you have some very yummy taco meat. My children like it way better than normal taco meat. Today we have kimchee salads with avocado. I also just made my own kimchee! It is going to be very good. I have sunburgers dehydrating but they probably won't be ready until tomorrow, so not sure what we'll have tonight.
I will be needing encouragement because in 3 days our 30 challenge is over so then I'm on my own. I am pretty sure my husband wants to go to 80/20. However there are alot of meals that I am incorporating into the family menu, like raw pizza, raw spaghetti, raw tacos, and the sunburgers so far. Anyway, I think he will want to go out to a resteraunt which will be hard for me.
Okay good going everyone! Kepp it up!

As allways, I started with fruits and as allways, I couldn't stop *g* First, I had a pineapple, as soon as I had digested it, a melon, then a banana (or maybe 2 ;) ). Thanks god, I got myself occupied with shopping, sports and gathering wild greens, before I could eat more.
For lunch, I had rockets, deadnettles and tomatos, which saturated me for quite a long time. Later I ate a Kiwi and (too many) nuts, which I think, I should not have done :-/ And now, I have just finished a cucumber.
I know, that I eat as much as a wolverine, I hope this will even out as time passes.
I'm feeling great, so far. Not much more to say, actually.

Hiya, fellow travellers!
Today i woke up at 7 am even though it was my day off. Raw energy! Stayed in bed until 11, though, just because i felt like taking it easy.
First day of my period, which is a day of many horrors: pain, moodswings, fatigue...
And even though i've read about people having easier periods when raw, that's nothing i've experienced today :o
So i took an ibuprofen, which got me out of the pain-coma at about 2 pm, so i could go grocery shopping and do other stuff.
This is what i've eaten today:
B - Water and Detox tea
B2 - Buckwheat porrige w banana, rasins and sunflower seeds
L - Butternut soup, which was absolutley disgusting (since i decided to listend to that inner voice of experimental cooking who told me that cloves and dried herbes would make a great combo...), Avocado, sprouts
S - 2 brazil nuts
S - green juice: pear/parsley (ok, it was supposed to be a green smoothie, but my blender didin't liquify parsley stalks very well, so i strained it)
D - Spring-thai-m's Thai Fool'd (see post in recipe section)
S - various cacao puddings with dates, banana, seeds, honey and mylk
my stomach is a bit upsed from the strong spices and the cacao, and there's always a lot of extra action when i have period pains. Well, i guess a lot is better than a little.. lol
Peace

Springtime- I hope you feel better!
I'm still raw and I'm still here! This is the longest I have ever been 100%. I went to the produce store this afternoon and was shocked by all the good deals. I got a big bunch of slender asparagus for $0.89. I got artichokes (for DH and DS) 2 for a dollar, and I got these strange small yellow mangoes 2 for a dollar. They taste like lemon, so I'm not sure if they're unripe or if they're supposed to taste like that.
B: GS with spinach, kale, strawberries, peaches
S: watermelon
L: orange and 2 pears
S: fresh pineapple- the best I've had in years
D: asparagus and ?
Does anyone know if you can eat artichokes raw?

Hello all. I would like to join this challenge. I'm actually on my fifth day of raw food and I'm really enjoying it, but I have to be honest, it's been hard at times. My husband is not doing this with me and I still have to prepare meals for him and my four-year-old, so the temptation is always there. I had one slip on day two, but otherwise I've been doing great. I just wanted to join this so that I could get some support. I have read extensively about raw food and I really feel that this is the change I need to make to improve my life.
I have been reading all of your posts and thank you for taking the time to share your experiences with the rest of us.

The detox continues, light headness and more sleepier, also my skin has become sensitive to cleansers so i am trying a more hypoallergentic cleanser.
Another light raw day not feeling to hungry ( i am assuming this can be good or bad). Well either way i am feeling more motivated to continue onward to be high raw.:D
**If you see multiple postings in one day, this is due to me not always being able to be online daily, i keep track of my daily progress via note pad lol lol lol and then post :)**
** May 2 was my official start date, but i began eating some raw yummies the evening before**
