I've had a jar open for months now and I'm not confident that I can smell or taste rancidity. Do you know how long it's good for? It says not to put in fridge. Stuff sure is good.

I think (don't know for sure) it has a shelf life of 3 years or so. mine never stays around that long, but I keep it on my counter in the florida heat, and have had no problems with it going bad, just turns to liquid.

thanks! and I love your name. I lived on the Oregon coast for many years and love the ocean too.

LOL, my jars never last more than 2 months, sometimes 1 month. It's good to know the shelf life is around 3 years. Thank you for this info. It makes me laugh though thinking about 3 years (for myself). Kind of impossible at the moment with the way I consume & use coconut oil - love using it for everything!
