Hi my name is Laura and I am from Minnesota and I am in college for Speech Therapy :). I have been interested in raw food for a long time now and I just recently have switched to all raw meals. My only problem is that I get really hungry in between meals and fruit doesn't fill me up. I hope that my hunger will become less as I go on with this raw food journey but right now the only thing non-raw I am having trouble letting go of is whole grain pretzels :(. Everyone seems so great here and I am very glad that I stumbled upon this website!

Welcome!! I wish you the best of rawesome health!!

For that filled up feeling, try green smoothies or increase your salad consumption.

I have found pretzels and wheat products are very addicting.

Nuts and heavier raw takes it all away.

do you guys think that wheat could be the cause of my acne? I have had acne for a long time and although I have always liked eating fruits and veggies, wheat products have been a big thing for me. I have a feeling genetics might be partially to blame but I was just wondering if there was any connection to wheat too. Thanks!

Hi,

I sometimes have that constant hunger, too, and then I end up eating more and more sweet fruits, keeping my blood sugar higher than necessary and the hunger won't stop. Well, yeasterday I discovered something funny: After my workout I resisted the temptation of sweet fruits and ate a cucmber and some raw mushrooms with wild greens. Especiallly the mushrooms were so filling, that I could not eat much of them and was satisfied for the rest of the day. So, I resoned firstly that I was graving some nutirens which are found in mushrooms and secondly that too many sweet fruits rather aggravate hunger than satisfy it. Maybe, you will also find the one vegetable you need and your hunger will stop ;-)

Greetings, Cerellia
