Bed, Breakfast, & Beyond – A live Food B&B

If you missed our last dinner & retreat in April, no worries, we are offering weekend escape packages at our B&B located in the Catskills on our organic farm.

What makes our place beyond your traditional Bed & Breakfast spots? For starters, we offer healthy, organic LIVE FOOD breakfast & dinners including fresh juices, green smoothies, sprouted breads and more!

If your not familiar with live foods, this a great opportunity to try something new, great tasting, and healthy. If you are familiar it’s a chance to get away and relax and not have to worry about the food. Ingredients will be organic, local and from our farm whenever possible.

Group or private workshops as well as live dinners will also be available for an additional fee on selected weekends or by request.

Besides the food:
Our 3,000 sq ft. converted 1800’s Carriage house is located in the Western Catskills. Inside are large loft-style spaces with high ceilings, artist designed & renovated with handcrafted furnishings and art throughout the house. Outside are acres of meadows, mountains, wooded areas, organic flower & veggie gardens, a fishing/swimming pond and streams. Also on the property are 5 chickens, 1 rooster, an Art Gallery (Turquoise Barn), and a farmstand. Right across the street from the property is the Catskill Scenic Trail for biking/walking/running/skiing.

We are in close proximity, swimming, fishing, book stores, antique shopping, yoga classes, restaurants, galleries, museums, to skiing, hiking, snowmobiling

*Note - we are an eco-friendly environment - we use no chemicals or pesticides in our house or gardens.

You mean I could actually go somewhere and not have to bring my Vita-Mix or juicer or cooler or have to prepare stuff for like a week beforehand! OMG, this sounds like a dream come true.

My dh and I want to take a few days and do a mini vacay with our bikes, trail-a-bikes and 6 y.o. twins.

Am heading for your website now!

Thanks for posting,

Mary Kay

Just wanted to report back to everyone that we went and the food and lodging were terrific.

Michelle bent over backwards to try to please us with the food --like dh doesn't like bananas, so she made other things, even though she planned on banana smoothies etc.

Our favorite meal was corn tacos with "refried beans." For my birthday, she made a delightful heart-shaped nut cake....then there were the brownies topped with berry sorbet, key-lime pudding........

It was a $$ stretch for us, but I'm still glad we went. Will return, but to save $$$, will probably camp there next time. She has excellent rates for those who want to camp, and bathroom privileges.

Looking forward to going back. The scenery is gorgeous with all the large hills/mountains. Even so, the bike trail is rather flat, as it is on a Rails-to-Trails, but a thick-wheeled mountain bike is a necessity as the trail's a little rough.

While there, we went to a raw-food potluck and visited some really cool caverns and a Butterfly Conservancy/museum that the kids just loved!

Our family had a great vacation. So glad I saw your post!
