hi there,
my name is shani and i live in boston mass. i've been mostly raw since may 10, 2008. on may 10, i was in san francisco, ca, and went to cafe gratitude for breakfast. i'd been to raw restaurants before and loved how i felt but never tried to go a whole day. breakfast was great and i got several takeout items for lunch and snacks. they ended up lasting me till the next morning, and i felt better than i'd ever felt in my life being 100% raw for 24 hours. so i decided to go home and try it full time.
i've been wanting to get to 100% but struggling. my life is busy and between busy-ness, stress, and whatever emotional stuff, i get pulled of course every few days lately. so i'm going to do 30 days using alissa's book and this website.
i'm nervous but excited to see what 30 days straight can do for me.
i'm going to put all the pots and pans in the basement, and throw out the corn tortillas i use for one of my go-to cooked comfort foods, quesadillas.
i'm looking forward to "meeting" folks on here, and going through the journey together.
and since i live in boston, i'm looking forward to more meals at grezzo. ;-)
be well,
shani
