Has anyone "cured" snoring by going raw?? Please, Please say YES!! lol... my husband is driving me crazy, so bad I have to leave my nice comfy bed, he sleeps like the dead... the snoring dead..cannot wake him up, right now he's trying 80% raw, he isn't obese, has gotten a bit of a "beer belly" over the years, I'm hoping if he gets raw he can turn this around and be healty, kick some of those bad habbits. He's not willing to do a sleep study.. a bit stubborn too....
Anyone have any experiences with this... thanks :)

I used to snore like a truck driver. Because I'm 5'2 people tended not to believe me until they were in the room with me. lol.
I no longer snore!
I think I may have had sleep apnea which is pretty serious. If I did have it, raw cured it. :):):)

if he has a beer belly.. is he still drinking? drinking contributes heavily to sleep apena for many. and snores if i'm not mistaken usualy have sleep apena.
i had/have it!!!! and a serious case!!! however since i quit drinking over 3 months ago i haven't had a case of it. and btw... it started occuring for me about 3 years ago and i never was a snorer in my life until this, but to my knowledge seldom snored.

Thank you for all your replies, I really appreciate everyone on this board and all the help they are so willing to give :)
Pixie, congrats to you for not drinking :)
I hope that my husband will make the choice of health and that will help the snoring.

seRaw i too have a hubby who snores so bad the neighbors asked us to keep the bedroom window shut because it disturbed them ... thats pretty bad !
i lost many years of sleep because of his refusal to seek treatment, or have better health. I dont blame him partially he is scared of the treatment apparently it is quite painfull operation but he could take better control of his weight and drinking less would help as well, but untill then its his decision.
unfortunately my decision was to get another bed and move into my own room, too many years of broken sleep really wore on my own health and i cant tell you how much the last few months have made a huge difference.
its sad we cant sleep together but untill he addresses the problem , i am taking it into my own hands and solving my problem of lack of sleep and im better for it :)
i hope you can find a solution for yourself too i really feel for you being disturbed like this really can affect your own health !

jgunn, sorry to hear a separate room is the only solution.... We just received Alissa's book the day we headed out for our Memorial weekend camping trip, I brought the book with us and left if in the bathroom, he kept picking it up and even though I have been talking about raw food for the past year the book hit home with him.... he's a meat and potatoes type of guy and now he is wiling to go 100% RAW!!!!! I can only imagine that the snoring will cease!

Snoring can be an indication of a weak/failing heart, and you say he's got a "beer belly", which is also a big risk when it comes to heart disease! maybe he should get his heart checked out, because lots of pounds on your stomach can be really risky.

So, we've been 100% raw for two weeks now, and sooooo happy to say that my husband's snoring has stopped... he's so quiet now I have to make sure he is even breathing... when before I spend hours shaking him and at time jumping on the bed (no joke) to get him to wake up and stop..... we've both lost over 10lbs, he's lost inches on his belly already and we both sleep so soundly.... RAW IS AMAZING!!!!!
