Hi all,

I am a new poster, but have been soaking up your knowledge for a bit now. I have been at least 85% Raw for over 2 months now and I LOVE it!

My question is about Freezing - I have an abundance of Lamb's Quarters and Kale in my Garden and was wondering what protocol, procedure and your thoughts were on freezing it to use in my morning Green Smoothie.

Thanks for any advice, it will be appreciated.

I've never frozen kale or lamb's quarter for my smoothies, but I do successfully freeze spinach and mixed greens to toss in my smoothies. I can't imagine why the kale wouldn't work...cut it and try some, then let us know! :)

Thanks Bretta - thats what I thought, too. It can't hurt to try. I found athread that talks about freezing things and that was helpful also.

Thanks again.

I just used frozen Kale this morning. All I did was wash it, shake it dry and then put it in zip lock bags- it was soft, but just as effective.
