Hello All!

I was at a workshop on Saturday with Victoria and Valya Boutenko and just thought I'd pass off some information I know was being discussed last week.

Victoria answered a lot of audience questions about natural improvements on raw.

For eyesight:
She has seen and heard from many people who's eyesight has improved or corrected on raw BUT you have to let your body know it needs corrected. She suggests not wearing contacts and wearing glasses only when driving or reading when it's neccessary. Eye sight fluctuates daily depending on sleep, nutrition, stress etc. If you try to go without glasses unless you need to read, your body will try to adjust and start repairing your vision. Our bodies want to be perfect, they just need tools to acheive it.

For the sunburning/raw questions:
Our bodies are naturally equipped with a defense mechanism for sunburns. Your eyes and eyelids are our receptors for how much sunlight there is and triggers our body's response to protect it from burning. When you wear sunglasses and hats our body thinks its night time and leaves us defensless and we burn. If you go without sunglasses the body can naturally adjust and protect you a whole lot better.

ALSO if you squint in natural daylight at all or are sensitive to sunlight you are vitamin D deficiant! You need as much natural sun as you can manage. She obviously doesn't suggest high noon or anything like that. But definitely morning and evening sun are the safest to build up sun exposure.

Those are the 3 things I wanted to tell you guys that stood out in my mind. If i remember anything else I will post later. :)

Yeah I always wear sunglasses while driving and used to squint and be unhappy when i forgot them. I'm taking out my contacts and putting my sunglasses away and getting out in the sun. :)

Thank you Veronica! Very helpful information. I no longer squint in the sun and it's good to know why I was doing it previously.

oh that makes sence to me i guess. i've noticed if i've been outside steadily i don't squint so much, but do if i seldom spend time out and also tears flow. but... i have blue eyes too and is said to be very sensitive to light unlike other eye colors.. and i spend a lot of time in lack of proper lighting.

thanks for sharing what you learned!

Wow interesting! I have stopped wearing my glasses for about six months now (an issue of vanity really... i don't like the way I look in them) and I have noticed that my eye sight is getting better. I will have to ditch the sunglasses too, which isn't really a problem being it is one less thing I have to worry about losing :p

The squinting in natural sunlight thing is interesting since I do wear sunglasses a lot. Hmmm, I should consider sunbathing more during my lunch hours at work.

I stopped wearing sunglasses at the end of summer 06.
I am just back after a week on the sunny Amalfi Coast in Italy and did not need shades at all. Everyone else in my company were glued to theirs.
I do still keep some in the car as there is a certain time of the evening towards sunset that sometimes causes a severe glare on the windscreen and it is better to play safe.
