hi!

i can't afford a new Vita Mix. Would love it, but it's not happening. I'm already out of money before I'm out of month, and that's probably not going to change anytime soon with my expenses.

I've watched Ebay, and it looks like the VitaMix 3600 sells for around $100, give or take some pennies. I can swing that. I had been eyeing the Breville 800BLXL, which I saw when I worked at BB&B. I can get that on ebay for around $160 new....

I only have one shot at acquiring a blender. If I buy the wrong one, I'm just stuck with it. So, I'm looking for opinions. Does an older, used Vita Mix still perform so great that it's worth the money, or should I go with the Breville, which has a warranty and all that jazz?

Could you swing that amount three months in a row? I bought a reconditioned Vita-Mix 5000 from the company. It came with everything the new one comes with, including the 7 year factory warranty. It cost $299 and if you call them (instead of just ordering online), you can make 3 payments. Through Eva on this board (using her number), I got free shipping. If you can't do the 3 monthly payments, buy the 3600. Any Vita-Mix is worth it.

Have you checked craigslist? That's where I got mine, my juicer...
