Affordable cosmetic supplies for those outside U.S.?

I've decided to give a go at making my own cosmetic products as I no longer feel comfortable buying 'standard' cosmetic products what with all the nasty ingredients in there...Apart from that, I'm too lazy to take a long list of evil ingredients with me every time I go shopping, I'd probably go all cross-eyed searching for each ingredient:p

But so far I've only been able to find that it's only the sites in the U.S. that are able to provide a wide range of ingredients... at first it looks dirt cheap (compared to the sites here in Europe (been looking at UK and Germany sites)), but add the shipping costs and you end up cringing>_<

I was wondering about
crabapplesoap.com, the prices are awesome, even with shipping costs included... but I've heard a lot of bad reviews about this one...so I'm a bit weary.

If anyone else outside the U.S. makes their own cosmetics (e.g. body butters, shampoos, lip balms, lip sticks etc.) and if you know of any sites where the shipping costs aren't too ridiculous and sites that are trusted...
