I had the pleasure of going to the new Vita Rawstaurant in Green Bay on Sat. - it was awesome.
A cute, eclectic spot in downtown Green Bay, WI.
I went with a friend, here's what we got:
smoothies - I got a tropical paradise one with peach, pineapple & mango. I forgot what her's was, but it was delicious pineapple with something else.
A cup of chili served with sunflower sprouts - this was awesome & had a little kick!
An open faced "chiken" sandwich served on a slice of caraway rye bread with tomatoes, cukes & sunflower/pea shoots - again, very good.
My friend got the flatbread pizza (consists of 3 squares) - a zucchini/hemp seed/walnut crust, with a cashew lemon hummus, olive tapenade, fresh fennel & tomatoes - Yum! I got her leftover 1 to take home :D
And finally for dessert - we were both pleasantly "stuffed" by the way, but just couldn't resist splitting a piece of chocolate/strawberry cheesecake.....;)
This was absolutely AMAZING!!!!!
It consisted of 3 layers: 1st layer was a type of coconut brownie, the 2nd layer (which was about 2" tall) was the strawberry cheesecake part - it tasted like ice cream!! The 3rd layer (about 1/2" thick) was a smooth chocolate/coconut oil topping that dripped down the back part.....
We tasted it.....OMG!!
Honestly - if we had had that first, I think we would've ordered the whole pan full....but at $7 a slice....the one piece was a great ending to the night!
The meal came to about $44 & I left a $6 tip - I will defenitely go back!! :D
