I have been doing the raw food diet for almost 4 years and I have to say
that I was happy with the results until last fall. I started at age 42 and in good
health--now my teeth look horrible, my hair is thinning, and I feel fuzzy most of
the time.

My weight keeps dropping so that now I am so
skinny that it hurts when I bang my arm on the door or to sit down or to put my elbows on the table.

Any advice?

Suzanne

Always listen to your Body, these things did not just happen overnight. Are you eating Nuts, Seed, Fruits, Oils and Vegetables. There are different Foods your Body needs and they all can be obtained RAW but you need to know what they are.

This Forum is Great for asking questions and getting answers from someone who has been through exactly what you are going through.

So make a Post on "Living Food Discussion" and you will get help with your needs. Have you purchased Alissa Book, Living on Live Food? In it she throughly explains everything. Look to the Left of this page and there you will find help with the purchase.

I wish you everything you need to Stay RAW........Welcome to MY World.

Spicyfull is right.....you need to post where she said because not everyone comes to this area and might miss your post.

My diet is green smoothies with dandelion greens, parsley or some other greens and fruit. I eat salads, I make my own dressings and lots of apples with some raw tahini. I eat very little dehydrated foods.

Thanks,

Suze

There is something wrong and you would be wise not to ignore it. Perhaps you should consider having a blood test done to see if you are deficient in something.
Have you tried using www.fitday.com or other sites where you input your daily food and they tell you what you are missing.

I am wondering if you are eating enough. Your symptoms sound familiar to mine when I am not eating enough.

perhaps it is not the raw food you are eating. Sometime toxins produce this same symptom. Keep a journal of everything you eat, injest, and are exposed to - perhaps you will see a pattern.
Green Blessings.

I'm going to make a wild guess here and say that you might consider adding some good fats to your diet.
Avocado, seeds, nuts, coconut oil/butter... it is possible that your body type requires higher fat content.
You don't have to add in dehydrated foods, but you might add in some dried fruits, like dates, raisins, figs, etc.
