I don't know if I did this right, but here goes. My name is Nicole. I'm 30, married with 3 kids. I work in Special Education. I am 60 pounds overweight, I have no enrgy for my kids, no sex drive for my husband. I struggle with sugar cravings and yeast overgrowth. I was born and raised in Ohio, but currently live in North Carolina. I hope to learn much from this group and become 99-100% Raw. This will not be easy, as my hubby is a southern man through and through. His diet consists of fried foods and SUGAR.

What a RAWonderful way for you to Change the lives of your Children. They are young enough to learn to Love RAW. I know about the south, Grease, Sugar, Salt, Boiled and Fried, those are the 5 Food Groups.

I lived there and I know first hand. The Pig kept me alive until I knew better. Thank GOD for WISDOM which He Freely gives.

Summer is here, so take advantage of all the Fresh Fruit and Vegetables.

I wish you everything you need to Stay RAW............Welcome to MY World.

Welcome!! I wish you the best of rawesome health!!!

High raw will cetainly help you with the yeast overgrowth. Grains and sugar are their food sources, and when you stop eating them, they die off. Don't be afraid of fruits, but don't go in too heavily on the syrupy ones. Also, stay away from dehydrated foods, as it concentrates the natural sugars.

Welcome & best wishes on your journey!

my best advice if you are stuck cooking for the fam and not getting to eat any---eat a LOT of raw before you start to cook. then you will be full and far less tempted. eat any time you are hungry--all day long. that is the best way to stick on it thru the difficult beginning. would be less diff if you werent around naughty foods.

keep reminding yourself why you are doing it and focus on what you can eat not what you cant. and remind yourself that this is the food God gave us to eat. in nature there were no deep fryers or feed lots until man decided to eat ONLY things that taste good no matter what bad things they did to our bodies.

as you read in Alyssa's book, avocadoes will REALLY help you thru cravings. i went from three a day (every day) to 2 and now i am down to one. thats progress!

good luck & welcome! you will get tons of support, advice and info here and NO JUDGMENT if you slip. & you WILL have way more energy.
