I am IN!
This is so very exciting, i feel like i've just taken the biggest leap... but it's great! i'm gonna do this!
Thirty days... wow.. it's a bit scary thinking of it, about all the lunches with people, explaining over and over again, maybe getting detox symptoms... but, i know it it the path to health and serenity, and you my fellow travellers, are in this with me. So none of us are alone. The raw family is here!
Peace

I want to do this challenge, but I'm not 100% raw. Is that okay?

Just finished a 10 day Master Cleanse and am back to raw. I've lost weight when I've been raw. But then I tried to implement a stricter version of raw and kinda lost my way.
I just want to make sure I stay 100% raw and not make any "one cooked meal won't hurt" excuses. Because for me they do. When I veered off raw with one cooked meal, that opens up the flood gates to a super disastrous binge.
So good luck everyone. It's going to be so fun and worthwhile:-)
Hi all,
I am looking forward to this one month challenge. I have done raw in the past (back in 2006, and then for a short time last year). Each time I've had great results, but have had problems sticking to the diet... and would gain the weight right back. At first I thought I was a failure for not being able to stick to things, but I have come to realize that each attempt only brings me closer and closer to where I want to be... more accepting of raw as a natural way to eat.
Anyways, I am back again. I'm on day 6 of 100% raw right now, starting to have some cravings, but wanting to continue to go strong. I think a one month challenge would help me. Looking forward to doing this with the rest of you. :)

But, I'm in! I've got to get back on track. I felt so much better when I was 100%. Why oh why, did I ever take that forbidden bite?
So why am I crazy to start now? We just signed on a house that needs remodeling. And I said we'd be out of this place by the end of the month. So, so much to do. I better have the added benefit of wonderful nutrition to keep me going. I had my first green smoothie in ages this morning before going to the house and cleaning the baths and floors and even removed all kitchen cabinet doors.
So here I go on another adventure and it promises to be a wild ride. I even ordered and received my T-Tapp exercise videos yesterday. Now I am trying to be realistic and figure out if I can also add that into this super packed month.
Day one, so far, so good!

Hello everyone! I have been 100% raw for 3 weeks now and want to keep going so am joining this challenge! My husband has been raw with me :) but I am not sure if he will keep going. He has been so strong and supportive even if he doesn't keep going I feel like I have enough of a start to keep it up.
One thing is I haven't lost weight like I thought I would so I am discouraged about that. I have been making sure to get my fat in because I am nursing my 6 week old son! But have decided that I need to cut back on nuts and avo's. Other than that I feel great. With my last 3 babies I required naps until they were about 3 months old, no naps this time and energy to spare! The food is amazing, possibilities are endless. Desserts are incredible. I am not missing anything. Okay that's not true I do want salmon from Olive Garden pretty bad! I am loving onion bread sandwiches. Last night our whole family ate sunburgers on romaine buns! My children kept saying how good they were. My 9yr old son said he would never miss a hamburger! My 14 yr old daughter wants to be raw too.
My biggest help is focusing on what I can have. I love Alissa's book, it is full of great things. Also there are a ton of recipes online. I haven't made anything yet that was unedible and most of it was fabulous! So everyone just focus on what you can have and how healthy you are going to be!
God Bless!

I'm in!! Today I battled a stomach virus so I didn't start out well, but I'm committed to go for the 30 days. Can't wait to see what everyone is eating. Tonights dinner will likely be a green smoothie. Spinach, strawberries, blueberries and bananas. I need to go shopping and get some raw almonds (and a milk bag??) so I can make almond milk.

Count me in. I started back to Raw on Monday, so five days and I feel great!!!!! I began Raw in 2008 and after one year of off and on Raw I FINALLY learned that cooked foods have to be off limits for me.
Here is how my last year played out: Eat 100% Raw for two months, one bite of cooked foods, BAM no more raw and a horrible cooked foods diets with weight gain galore. This last time I did this I said NO MORE. It has to be 100% Raw from here on out so here I am joining you wonderful folks.
Just went shopping for my weeks supply of food and I am psyched. I need to get a good foundation the next couple of weeks because I am going on vacation the latter part of May, so I thought this challenge will keep me on the plan even while traveling.
Looking forward to spending the month with you all.

I have a migraine today so not eating to much. So far I've had green drink-w/ rainbow collards, celery, cuc, lemon, apple. Lunch-handful of nuts, Dinner-feel like eating guc w/ avos, tomatos, fresh white corn, lemon, cumin. I have had less cravings for cooked and have even mastered eating out with family and friends...not saying some smells still bring back emotional ties which have been hard to overcome. I am looking forward to this months challenge.

this is awesome. I'm actually committing to do this for 30 days!
The food's not the issue, I love the way raw vegan food tastes. It's the question of community -- How me and my friends and my family come together over food. I feel a little wary about singling myself out in those situations, having to explain, becoming other.
Plus, having had Polycystic ovary syndrome for so many years, I have changed the way I eat so many times that hardly anyone can keep up with me!
But something tells me in my gut that this is a move in the right direction.
Breakfast was a young green coconut. Breaking it open was extremely satisfying. It was like making a toast to my new life.
I also made a mache salad and invented a pretty delicious dressing out of shoyu, brazil nut butter, lemon and a little water.
Eating well is a celebration! I'm happy to be here with you all in this journey

Hello everyone! I did pretty well last month, just a few slip ups (I was about 98% raw for the month of April), but I am looking forward to starting this month fresh & raw!:D
Best of luck to all!;)
Today I had: 2 mangoes, a taste of raw fudge I made for my boy (maybe 2-3tbs from the Vitamix blender cup), a few pineapple chunks and several Bubbies pickles & a kombucha.
I wasn't very hungry for some reason.

I tried the challenge in March, and did well the first 5 or 6 days, so I got and read Alissa's book and I'm ready to get in on the action again. I'll be doing a kitchen and fridge makeover, as well as prepping my meals according to Alissa's book on Saturday, and I'll be ready to go 100% on Sunday.

I have been transitioning from sad to raw since Feb and finished a juice fast/cleanse about a week ago and am ready to try to go 100%. I'm a little nervous about the 100% thing but feel like I'm as ready as I'm ever going to be.
The thing that helped me with the juice fast was preparing juices ahead of time and planning out my days consumption ahead of time. I need to really make sure I plan ahead again and have "snacks" on me at all times just in case.
Today I had:
green juice (kale, spinach, cucumber, celery)
Lara bar, Green smoothie, avocado stuffed endive
tomato soup, spinach salad, ice cream

I've been off raw for a long time now, but inspired by Morn and other people who have been so successful, I'm back!
I began 100% raw yesterday, May 1. What I ate:
1 cup of green tea (trying to wean myself from caffeine)
fruit salad - 1 mango, 1 banana, 1 c. strawberries
1 quart of green smoothie - orange, banana, spinach, bee pollen, coconut butter
1 Pure bar (chocolate brownie)
2 more bananas
large salad of 1 head of romaine lettuce and 1/2 avocado with drizzle of olive oil and balsamic vinegar
herb tea with honey
another banana!
I am happy to join all of you in committing to our health and success! :)

I've been off the wagon for a while and I am ready for some new energy and vitality. I also have twenty pounds that need to melt away. But mostly I am tired! I suspect I may have some yeast syndrome going on so if any of you have dealt with it please feel free to send some tips my way. Thanks
