I was wondering if anyone had any raw candy recipes?

I really miss my favorite SAD candy - eminems! I don't know why. They were so unhealthy... but so fun! So colorful and cute. Anyone have any fun and cute raw candy recipes to share?

1 cup pecans
1/2 cup pitted dates
1/2 cup shredded coconut
2 T. cacao nibs
2 T. coconut oil
2 T. cacao powder
1/4 t. sea salt

Combine all ingredients in a food processor and blend until it sticks together. If necessary add more dates. Shape into balls and roll in additional shredded coconut. The dark colored balls were rolled in shredded coconut mixed with cacao powder. You could make them smaller. I don't know how to make them colorful. Perhaps rolling the balls in shredded coconut stained with beet juice...?

I keep them in the fridge.

Thank you so much for the lovely pictures guys! Those recipes too.. hmm, fab! I might try the last too. Not sure about the cookies though, I tried making something similar once (may have even been the same one?) and it didn't seem to work out well for me. :o

I've actually made a good bit of pies and the like. :) Thanks for that though.

Hehe, if anyone has any other suggestions I'll happily add them to my list. :P

I might actually experiment with making some type of candy today or tomorrow, so if I come up with anything great I'll tell you too. :P

They do l@@k RAWlicious. But if you don't have the time to make any, always keep some Figs handy, they will take the edge off.

Salted Honeyed pecans dehydrated are very candyish=)

chocolate dipped cherries and strawberries are very good. (stir equal parts honey and cocoa together until it looks like milk chocolate, adding some vanilla and salt makes it more chocolatey)

the aforementioned chocolate sauce with nuts (especially almonds)makes a very yummy candy bar. Just pulse the nuts to the size you want and stir then into the chocolate--you could roll or shape them but I um..usually don't=)

dehydrated fruit is candy. My kids love kiwi, bananas, watermelon, mango, pineapple--well, everything. you can make fruit roll ups with fruit puree or slice/pour them into candy like shapes.

For m&ms you could dip almonds into thick chocolate sauce and drain--or just make tiny rolled truffles. You could even dip them in raw white cocoa butter chocolate dyed with vegetable dyes.

It may seem like a lot of work..but it's important to develop a relationship with your food--you have to invest in some foreplay sometimes =)>

I am here waiting for my dessert to be ready to take out of the freezer. I saw a youtube video making almond dream bars. I didn't have the ingredients but I had some other stuff that looked good so I played with it. I came up with what I call almond delights.

almond butter
coconut oil
dried bluberries
Lydia's Organics Sprouted Cinnamon cereal (the recipe called for soaked, dehydrated buckwheat groats and this cereal has them and more)

Nearly equal amounts of almond butter and coconut oil (a little more almond butter than coconut oil) go into a bowl (in the video it was in the FP).
Mix with fork until liquified. Add berries and cereal. Freeze in ice cube trays or small containers for about 5 mins. Enjoy!

The original recipe uses lacuma powder and goji berries, as well, but I'm fresh out:p
