Hi, I'm Jim, and I'm not quite sure how I ended up here today (but I'm looking forward to sticking around...). I was vegetarian for a few years in the early 90's (briefly vegan), but went back to "omni" when I got into weightlifting.... That said, you guys run circles around my vegetarian & vegan experiences! I look forward to learning, and hope I can share a useful thing or two. The variety is head-spinning!
A 30-day challenge sounds like fun (but I suppose I should learn a bit first)... :)

Well you sound like a man with an open mind and that is a great asset in life.
Welcome.
Looking forward to hearing more from you and feel free to ask any questions that you want.

Welcome Jim! I was a long term vegetarian/vegan myself and I think you'll find some parts of the transition seamless. I would say just jump right in with the challenge ~ learn as you go. There are a lot of great recipes in the food section if you don't have any books yet. Good luck!

Sounds like a place to visit! My brother lives down the road from there, in Accord.... (I live on the eastern side of the Hudson River, on the border of Poughkeepsie and Wappingers Falls.)

Having been vegetarian and being interested in raw.......you'd really love Alissa's book and DVD. It teaches you all the in's and outs of raw and living foods. It's answers every question you'll have and one's you didn't even know you had. After watching the DVD you'll be able to make about any recipe in any raw food book. Like I said they really are great tools to have. Welcome to the forum.
