I've just recently had a cancer scare (messed up mole that was morphing and everything...turned out it wasn't cancerous thank god!) and today is my 20th, so I REALLY don't need this right now...But it seems I have all the symptoms of mouth cancer.

At the back of my mouth, just at the edge/under the back end of my tongue it's SORE. Feels almost like a canker but more "sore" than "painful" if you catch my meaning? It's reddened. It hurts to swallow. I can't eat. I have another tiny not so bothersome sore near the tip of my tongue, but I think that one is a canker. I googled oral cancer and yeah...then I panicked and came here.

Someone tell me this is detox please. Has this happened to anyone else? Just when I decide I want to live someone decides I'm not allowed to...not cool. I'm trying not to panic but I'm sick of the near death experiences and disease scares and just really need some calming level words here. I really hope this is detox.

I have had something wrong for about 2 weeks as well.
Firstly I felt as if I had something back there that I could dislodge. Then after a couple of days it became sore when I swallowed.
A couple of days ago I put my finger back as far as I could and could feel a rough lumpy patch. I could see it in the magnifying mirror when I shone the light in.
The weirdest thing is that today it is all gone. Completely.
I have to assume that it was detox of some sort.

also rawkin -

I think most oral cancers are painless....you don't feel them as sore at all.

Give it 2 weeks, and if still there, go to dr. or dent.

I have lots of mouth inflammation issues...if I eat too much spice my tastebuds will get sore, particularily if that spice was in conjunction with something sharp, like a chip, to make a small cut...I also have canker sore issues, well, chronic, a constant constant battle, untill I cut out dairy.
However, I knew Doritos were messing me up, but once I binged on them, really spicy ones too, and my tongue swelled up so bad, I was so scared it was going to suffocate me! Ofcourse I couldn't eat or talk, it was ridiculous. ...I went to the doctor but because I had recently put orajel on it, he thought I had thrush...which I didn't, he just saw all the 'stuff' on my tongue...which was Purely just orajel.

Anyways...I HOPE I don't have mouth cancer!...going off to read symptoms :/

ok...first symptom is mouth ulcers that will not heal...that's canker sores...I'm here to confirm that although it seems like they don't heal, they can take as long as two weeks to heal.

Wouldn't hurt to get checked out though....but in my experience, it's a direct 'reaction' to a food I've been eating...tongues..especially near the back, are close to your lymph system, and just seem to be reactive if you're fighting something....probably diet related.

But I would not take My word for anything, get checked out, but at the same time, remember that my tongue has done weird things like you describe and I'm still alive....that was a few years ago. So don't panic either ok chickie?

My boyfriend once in awhile will get mouth sores on his tongue. We think they're canker sores. I think it has something to do with what you ate/have been eating. Like what Bananna said. I also think it has a lot to do with stress.
Every time my boyfriend got them he was always under a lot more stress...

Also.. don't you smoke cigs?

Take a DEEP Breathe. Your going to be fine. My experince thus far is that I had major detox in my mouth. I came here for many issues with canker sores, tonsil stones. I had lymph nodes pop out and go down again. You name it. Took almost three weeks to clear up. My bet is that it is detox. Now stop opeing and closing your mouth and looking at it. Easier said then done I know. Trust me I'm very OCD when it comes to health issues. Your best bet is to continue eating raw and stop stressing. You came to the right place. YOUR GOING TO BE OK GIRL> Ride it out and in a few weeks your going to look back and realize all the worry was for nothing. That is what usually happens to me.

sore tongue can be a B12 shortage symptom

This is not medical advice.

Looking at your question energetically, it feels like the lymph nodes in your neck are aggravated and it's traveling to your mouth. However, if you still feel like something is wrong follow your instincts and get checked out. But first, don't worry. Our mind is very powerful and we can actually create and manifest illness with our predominant thoughts and fears. Visualize wellness and drink plenty of green juices & water. Ginger root will be good for the inflammation as well. It's probably just something healing in your mouth. Consider oil pulling right now too. I think it will help a lot! I had a cyst on my throat below my jaw and really terrible tooth pain. After 3 days of oil pulling the cyst started disappearing and the tooth pain was gone. I felt the results the first time I tried it ~ provided relief. Please give it a try.

Sending you healing rays.

I do smoke cigs, yes, though I've cut down significantly.

I just felt my neck and my lymph nodes are DEFINITELY swollen.

Also since then I've gotten progressively worse over all. RIght now I'm light headed, vision keeps going, very blurry, can't walk too well, mind is fuzzy, and overall sicker than I have felt in a very long time. I take this as good news - at least it's probably detox or sickness and NOT cancer. I do tend to panic with cancer scares and overdo it and get OCD as it runs in my family..

Thanks a lot though, everyone. Reading your posts made me feel much much calmer :)

The main thing is that you stick with raw.
Read The China Study and it will reassure you that the chances of you getting cancer (if raw) are probably non existent.
Stay raw and stop worrying.

My dad had oral lichen planus - apparently very painful. I think he had it for around a year. It's supposed to be incurable, but my mom fed him raw garlic daily for quite a while and it went away, forever it seems. But it doesn't sound like you've had this pain in your mouth for very long.

... as it runs in my family..

Disease doesn't run in families; lifestyles do AND, doesn't mean you've got to run with it.

Seems with live in a world where anti wellness prevails. Never buy the hype n alarm around symptoms. If you look online you can find that you have every disease known to man.

I am well. I am healthy. I am vibrant. I do all I can to support my body in wellness.

Trust raw to have happy cells.Be well.
