I've been 95-100% raw for almost 4 months and usually have tons of energy. I'm very tired the last few days though - could I be detoxing? What can I do to bring myself out of this slump?

I'd say... if you're tired, take your body's cue and rest. I usually get tired (which isn't too often these days!) for one of two reasons:

-I've got too much on my plate
or
-I'm healing (in which case I feel amazing if I give my body the opportunity to rest).

I hope that helps. Your body is talking to you, and it's great that you're listening to it and asking questions.

Thanks Eva - I have been resisting the urge to rest more than usual because of the idea that staying active will increase my energy. But maybe you're right. I have 6 children ages 11 and under so resting isn't that easy, but I will have to do it anyway. Later today I will take a nap and not feel guilty about it!

Some days are worse than others for me. There are so many things to consider such as weather, stress, diet, etc. I know those three things really affect my ability to function.

I am having the same problem. I've been 100% for about a month and for the past 4 days I am dragging! I guess its just the body trying to heal! I hope!:)

Lordy! I'm tired just thinking about 6 kids. I might have to go take a nap now. ;)

I hope you can find the time/space to rest -- and I sure hope you won't feel guilty about it!!! Your kids are so lucky you're making the choice to take care of yourself! You can take better care of them by doing that. So, definitely no room for guilt there!

It could be detox...or maybe you're pregnant, qfmother. :)

Nope - not pregnant, at least not right now...:)

I had the last of my mercury fillings replaced last week, perhaps that is adding to the problem?

I'm thinking of a juice fast or green smoothie fast or something like that - maybe getting totally away from nuts/seeds and increasing the greens for at least a day or two will help.

I agree with what the pp said. Rest, something I am learning to take my body's cues on and learning to do myself. I have 4 boys all 10 and under, so I can kind of relate to your experience.

The nuts will slow you down, I definitely would increase the greens and up the fruit. Fruits are sooo energizing!
