I'm wanting to add spinach & Kale & other greens to my smoothies but wasn't sure if they blend all the way that I wouldn't taste pieces of them? Any suggestions? I don't have a juicer

You can. I have a vitamix, so you don't taste pieces, it is very smooth. In an ordinary blender, it is chunkier, and doesn't taste as nice.

I have a green smoothie almost every day, sometimes twice a day. I mainly stick with kale and spinach.

It works, but it honestly doesn't taste that great, in my opinion. To chunky.

Do you have a food processor? You could try chopping everything finely in your FP and then put it in the blender with the other ingredients. Thats what I did before I got my VitaMix. Was a little chunkier for sure.

Right now I am blending kale in my $30 blender. It comes out fairly smooth because I first cut my kale up and then wilt it with a tiny bit of salt. That makes it soft enough for my blades to get it good and small. My smoothies are still a bit fibrous, but I know it is better than it would be if I put the leaves in whole.

I do. It is a little "chunky" but not so bad that I can't stand it. Put some bananas in there with it and you won't even really notice it much at all.

I do as well...I have a $100 Oster fusion blender...gets it down to fleck size, goes through a straw no problem...totally does cucumbers and stuff. I find it hard to imagine the Taste being different ...thinking it's more of a mindset thing.

And when I first started, it wasn't nearly as appealing to me, but now I'm used to it.

First I put the greens and some water and any super juicy fruits like an orange, blend on low till the greens get blended - sometime shutting off, and pushing greens down, blending on low till they get all mixed, then switch to higher higher highest setting - let it whirr there for a whil and then add the not so juicy fruits like apples, pear and last the banana/s.

If you do it right - it will come out smooth - but I do long for a vita mix!!!

what I did before I got my VM, add the kale, spinach, etc to the water first, let it blend till you can't see big chunks any more, then add the fruit. it's all good.

I use a 20 dollar hand blender for everything from green smoothies to almond flour, works like a charm, no chunks at all. i just poke around with a fork and make sure ive "attacked" every pice, and it comes out nice and smooth.

I use my regular blender. I do spinach all the time in my smoothies. I did try kale but I think I didn't blend it enough. I do almond milk, cashew milk whatever. I also use my small, really small food chopper for most processing. I do have a kitchen aid one but it's to much work to use.

I have a cusinart blender/food processor. I paid less than $100.00. I just started putting spinach back into my smoothies. I didn't like them at first. In fact, I'm drinking one now. They are excellent.
