Hello everyone. My name is Corine and I've been here before quite awhile ago. I fell off the raw bandwagon when dealing with taking care of two elderly parents with dementia. They are now in proper care facilities and my life is returning to "normal" (whatever that is!) but my body has definitely paid a price. I've gained too much weight, have low energy, and most annoying is that I've started have multiple aches and pains in my joints. Ugh. Enough already...I recently rewatched Alissa's food prep dvd's and laughed when she talked about the fact that at one point she told a friend she almost wished she had never found out about raw foods. It's so true that it keeps calling to me as the right way for me to take care of my body.

So, I'm back and am working my way to 100%. Every day that I try 100% my detox is too severe for me to maintain my energy for work. Fortunately, my work is somewhat seasonal so I can go high raw this month and 100% no later than June 1st, but I'm going to try to get there sooner than later.

I have one big question for you....since I've been away the whole issue with raw almonds (and other nuts) has occurred and now I'm wondering where do all of you get truly raw almonds? I'm lucky in that I have a second refrigerator in my garage so I can buy in bulk and store them easily. Just wondering what the current sources are.

Thank you in advance for the support! I really appreciate all of you...

Just a quick note to say thank you for the kind wishes. I really appreciate your support and will be very grateful for it in the transition to come. I've been increasing my raw foods this month and already feel better. I know the "magic" comes when I go 100% but this time I feel I have to have this prep time first.

You are all rawsome!

First, love the name when you really run it all together! And I'm in the same boat..or off the same wagon! And it's back to raw that I am gravitating. Here's to both of us coming back!
