I saw bottles of this stuff yesterday in my supermarket. It was a Waitrose in London, so I don't know if it's available in the US yet, but has anyone had a look at this? I don't think it's actually raw, and I would never drink it, but what do you guys think?

This is sooo funny. I talk raw to my boss all the time and he is a product developer for pepsi....hahahah who knows.
Wonder what "raw chemicals" they use to make it...eeekazoids

All the ingredients look surprisingly good (well, compared to the typical behaviour of a multinational cola company anyway!):
apple extract
plain caramel colouring
coffee leaf
tartaric acid from grapes
gum arabic from acacia trees
cane sugar
sparkling water
However, I don't think all of these are really "raw" in the sense we use. The coffee leaf and the caramel colouring will definitely not be raw. And not all of us are happy about caffeine anyway. They also could have used Agave Nectar instead of the cane sugar, although even this is an improvement on the corn syrup they usually use.
So compared to the nutritional disaster usually found in Cola drinks, this is revolutionary! Apparently, it "contains no artificial preservatives, colours, flavourings or sweeteners". For Pepsi Co, that is pretty amazing.
Does anyone know of a TRUE raw cola recipe that we can make at home? :)

It says it contains lactic acid - is that sourced from dairy?

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. This is why I don't believe it is truly raw... well, that and I have no idea what a few of the other ingredients are.
If this contains dairy derivatives, and regular Pepsi does not, I'm thinking this, despite having lower calorie and refined sugar content, is the scarier product.

I certainly wouldn't drink it myself, but it's definitely a big improvement on the usual product. For people who drink softdrinks (soda?) it's at least a step in the right direction.

Yeah, it being 'pepsi' and all, even if it's "raw", still makes me not want to try it, and the fact it's made out to be really healthy - makes me even more apprehensive.

That's laughable.
I guess they are the first to corner the market. Inventive though.
