Good morning everyone !
My sis ordered some of Alissa's really raw oats for me yesterday........
I'm wondering how some of you like to eat or prepare it.

Hey Linda!
Well, I run mine through the grain flaker to roll them. Then, I add some room temp. water (purified of course) just enough to cover where it's not too soupy and not too thick (you'll find your happy medium) and add agave or honey, cinnamon, a little sea salt to taste and a little coconut oil (I use the one Alissa sells on her site, it's SO good - the combination of coconut oil and sea salt gives it a "buttery" taste to me) and I'll throw in some chopped apples, pears, or bananas (or all of them if I'm really feeling greedy!) and stir and eat! Before I got the grain flaker, I'd soak the groats overnight and the next morning I'd blend in a blender with raisins, cinnamon, a little water, salt, and pulse chop some fruit in. It was more like a porridge but with the grain flaker, it's more like cooked oatmeal in texture. But the porridge was very good too!
Now I wanna go make some! :p
You can also use them to make cookies...I use oat groats in a lot of things now, sometimes substituting them for grains in crackers and flat bread recipes.
I think the ones Alissa sells have already been flaked. The ones I purchased look like they have been run thru the oat flaker once. Not as fine as the ones I have flaked twice, but definelty not whole groats.

I just received some this past week and they are great! I have just soaked them and then added some fruit and a drizzle of honey, but it sounds like Rawkinlocs has some really yummy tips!! I'll have to try that! :)
