Man oh man, did I have a nightmare last night!!! Today is day four for my being 100% raw. I've been doing really well, too, no cravings to really speak of and the one time I did, I just told the sugar demon to leave me alone, that I was NOT interested!!! Seemed to work, too. :)

Anyway, I dreampt last night that I had a plate of rice ... and was midway thru before I'd realized I'd just blown being 100%!!!

I have to say, if all my nightmares could be like this one -- not scary in the actual sense, life would be great! :D

Hey Carolyn, I had a very similiar dream when I first started raw, but I was eating cheese. The disappointment in myself in the dream was pretty real though. The other day, at almost two months 100%, I dreamt I ordered a bowl of fruit at a restaurant. It wasn't even the focus of the dream, the conversation was, so me ordering raw was a just natural and an aside. Now that was cool.

I've done the exact same thing.

I dreamed I smoked a cigarette, which is REALLY interesting because I haven't smoked in about 30 years.

I dreamed I ate some rice too, I wonder what that's all about.

I dreamed I ate a steak (again, interesting because I haven't had steak in 10 years), actually maybe longer, I KNOW I haven't had meat in 10 years.

Then the other day, I dreamed I ate cooked nori on my raw sushi. Now this was really strange as I don't like nori, cooked, raw, or any way, I just don't care for that fishy taste.

One, when I first went vegetarian, I was talking to some people about how much I loved these 'grillers' a vegetarian burger patty thingy, and one of them said, they couldn't stand the "meat" flavor. I was new to vegetarian at the time, but I wanted that meat flavor, just not the actual "meat" part of it.

I didn't understand this remark until a few years later, when I realized that I didin't want even the "meat" flavor anymore, I really liked the beans over the taco meat, or the rice over the beans, etc.

Now, I love nut burgers and I couldn't eat a boca burger to save my life.

Isn't it nice how our tastes change?

Several times over the first 10 years after I quit smoking I would dream that I was smoking and really enjoying it till I would realize I don't do that anymore. Then I had a sickening feeling in my stomach almost like a horrible dread. Was glad to wake up. Never had that dream about food.

It's so strange that we dream about food this way! (Or anything we're working on giving up, like Doe mentioned.) I can't remember ever really dreaming about food all that much ... and I've never been a huge rice eater, either, altho' I did have it every now and then. And Carlene, I agree ... I was pretty disappointed in myself right before I woke up.

Now Krispy Kremes, I can imagine dreaming about ... lol ...

Christine ... that's so interesting that you've dreampt about rice, too! I wonder if there's some sort of meaning behind that one? I think I'm going to have to check into it!

thats really weird, I had a similar dream last night with sushi I think it was....then I woke up, realized I didnt have anything but 100% raw this week and I felt better.... its ok if I cant resist temptations in my dream, better in my dreams than in real life. :)
