I was thinking of getting them - they have a 2/99 going right now.
I was thinking I could take 1 to work and make little smoothie fresh on the spot. And the home unit would be great for making dressings or other small batches.
Of course I want a vitamix, but am putting off that expense for a little while - I've just spent about 500 this month on ordering in the staples....5 lbs each of almonds, cashews, macadamias, whole new line of spices from frontier, hemp, chia, dulse, kelp, nori wraps, etc - so feeling a little pinch.
anyone use the magic bullet for small jobs like sauces? How loud is it, I work in an open floor setting - but guess I could fill it up and take it into the bathroom, lol!
Not that I need to be any weirder around here - you know what I mean?

I got one, but traded in for a Tri-Best Blender. LOVE that one much better.

i received a magic bullet as a gift, and i really like it! granted, i don't make any of the fancy stuff, just smoothies, mylks, and salad dressings.
i like the fact that i can make an individual sized smoothie almost instantly, snap the cap on, and head off to work. it's very convenient and simple.
noise wise, it's somewhat loud, but it blends so fast that i only have it on for a minute or two at a time...so that's never been an issue.

i've heard people say great things about this product.
i personally think it is a little small, but perhaps that is why it is so magic? cuz there is less to blend by default?

I had one and loved it for a while until it started to leak "engine" oli into my smoothies. Then I tosed it out. I got myself a personal blender from tribest. Been fine so far but the engine did burn out after 3 month but got it fixed no problems, and is doing fine now (maby just bad luck or it couldent take the hard use of everyday smoothie making, grinding flaxseeds a.s.o. ). I mostly use it to make pesto or other smaller stuff, and grind seeds now (it is fantastic at doing that).

I have and love my vitamix but am visiting SIL and she has a Magic Bullet. Its a great little blender. Very small, couldn't even make my normal size green smoothie but for travel I think I might buy one. It makes about 2 cups. Doesn't blend up as well as the VM but what would you expect from the cheap price? If you can't afford a VM right now I would think this would be a great for now blender. However I haven't tried any others so can offer no comparison.

Well what the others have said. The magic bullet - harder to clean and to me did not blend like the Tribest does. I also got the 24 ounce size containers for the tribest.
I just genuinely like it better. Seems more solid, well-built. The MB seems cheaper - to me.

Since I'm thinking of using this at work -
can any of you who've used both tell me which is quieter?
Thx!

We have a magic bullet. I tried it a couple times for smoothies and haven't used it since. We still have it for some reason though....I want to get rid of it.
It does not do a good job at blending up the greens. Every time I got chunks and its too small.
We have the VitaMix and I love it.
Its not as loud as the Vitamix...

I have two of the things. My hubby bought one for me and the other was a gift. The one as a gift came with a juicer and a picture too so you can make bigger portions. I am the only healthy eater in my house so it workd great for me. It let it blend longer for the green smoothies to make sure everythin is nice and smooth. It does an okay job for nut purees if you are making a cheese sauce. It was still a bit gritty and not smooth. It grounds flax perfectly. It does good fruit sorbes (sp?). It is tought to clean if you let it sit and crust! I clean the blades by putting warm soapy water in the cup and putting the blade back on and pulsing it.
