Im trying to go on a veg and high fruit diet to see if it can get rid of my candida (if i have it, but i really believe i do) problems. The last few days ive not done so well and ive turned to foods like eggs which i guess isnt to bad, but then ive moved on to things like biscuits, this isnt good at all.

Ive noticed eating the biscuits has been making my blackhead problem worse, plus ive been getting alot of spots on my forehead due to it as well. Anyway this morning i was determined to start on this diet properly, i had a green smoothie this morning and then a banana an hour or so later. My stomach felt abit weird after eating the banana though for a while, when you feel like that is it a way on your insides saying they dont want you to be eating this as its worsening problems?

Nope, this is your body's way of saying "Wait a minute, this is healthy, what do I do?"

You're going to hear this a lot, but it's called detoxification. Animal products like eggs (which are NOT good- this is a vegan board) clump up in your digestive tract and make it harder for the easier-digested foods (green smoothies, fruit) to get through- so you have a huge traffic jam inside and the good stuff probably is starting to ferment.

My advice: get with the green smoothies and fruits ONLY for a few days, and see how you feel. Wait until your body has time to clean out the cr*p you've put in, and then you'll feel so much better.

And no EGGS!! :p

I am assuming these aren't vegan biscusts? So they are also a no-no if you are trying to eat the vegan way.

It could be detox or it could be too much fiber at once, especially if your body isn't used to the volume.

It will most likely subside if it is either.

That would make sense actually, after the rubbish i ate yesterday/last night it is going to cause problems for the healthy foods i ate this morning and im not going to feel the benefits.

Haha yeh, im slowly trying to give them up, but comparing them to biscuits there not awfully bad :P But i am going to give them up, my plan is as its my birthday this Saturday i will probably end up eating something not so good leading up to then so starting from Sunday i am really going to be making an effort.

I keep moaning about my skin but its only my fault as i keep giving in to my cravings. I know everyone says avoid the cravings for so long and they will then just go away and you wont want to eat that sort of food anymore anyway. Im usually terrible at diets, or anything really when its to do with my skin! If theres no results and my face hasnt totally transformed from the horrible stage its at now to nice glowing skin in about 4 days i give up :D Its silly really because nothing is going to show results like that, it can take months so thats something im going to have to learn to deal with haha :)

Im afraid not, these are biscuits i certainly shouldnt be eating!! Before i wanted to go raw i had a problem with eating chocolate everyday, instead of beating the challenge of giving up i just replaced it with biscuits haha. I know my plan is to go raw from Sunday, but i plan on giving up the really bad things for me like biscuits from now on.

Well one wonderful thing I've learned from the whole raw experience is that nobody's perfect, and just to take everything one day at a time. So no worries about "slipping off the wagon" or whatever with bad foods- as they say, it's a journey and every day you eat well is just another step toward amazing health.

Congratulations on making this choice, good luck, have fun, and welcome! :D

You are defiently right about taking it one day at a time. My problem is when i tried to go totally raw a couple of weeks ago, i just started it suddenly one day and gave up everything i usually eat. It didnt go well, so im just going to work up to Sunday and try to drop foods slowly and see how it goes. After fighting against my bad skin for about 7 years now, ive never really known what the problem was but after using antibiotics for acne for a while i was sure its candida. It always confused me though as everyone used to say sugar was the problem and i found that fatty foods made my skin worse, but now after reading articles about fat been the actual problem it does make much more sense :)

I have this idear that it might be because your stomac acid is either to alkaline or to acid to deal with that kind of food at that moment. I tryed that several times, feels wierd. And I have noticed it specialy in the periods while drinking green smoothies. Boutenko mentionds that our Stomac acid will become more acid from drinking green smoothies.
