I have Alissa's book and a bunch of others. What I am looking for is a book that says something like, "Here's a 1wk plan. Buy this....On Sunday soak this, on Monday dehydrate this, etc." I was raw for 30 days once and loved it but stopped. I'd like to start again and know I felt more satisfied during the transition when I had great filling recipes rather than grabbing salads and fruits. However, when I start looking at all the recipes and prep, I feel overwhelmed. Ideas?
Thanks much!!

I'm pretty sure 12 Steps to Raw Food has a menu plan. Good luck! :)

Fruitarian is very simple, this eating plan is from "Fruit The Ultimate Diet" by Rejean Durette and there is no soaking!
"8:00 1-2 lbs watermelon
9:00 1/2 lb grapes
10:00 1 lb bananas
10:30 1 lb peaches
11:30 2 Hass avocados,1/2 lb tomatoes, sometimes with cucumber and red peppers
12:30 2 lbs watermelon
1:30 1/2 lb grapes
2:30 1 mango
3:30 1 lb bananas
4:30 3 lbs watermelon
5:30 1/4 lb grapes
6:30 1 lb peaches or 1/2 pint blueberries
7:30 1-2 lbs watermelon
8:30 1 lb bananas or 1 Hass avocado"
My advice is to eat mostly fruit and green smoothies and then a handful of favorite recipes - like RP brownies. Only you know what your favorite recipes are . . . . I feel like I should say that in the same way Smoky the Bear says "Only YOU can prevent forest fires.
Good luck:)

Alissa's book DOES do that. She gives a grocery list and everything.
Just figure out for yourself when to soak/sprout. Isn't too difficult.

No, it doesn't have a menu plan.

I helped my 18 year old son make a menu - it was really pretty easy. we took a weekly chart - several squares for each day and just started pencilling things in - then we pencilled in the advance prep - and juggled things around as it made sense to do so.... it might be better to do your own, that way you'll know you like all the food.

A book that I absolutely love and never see mentioned anywhere [probably because it's an older book] is Vibrant Living by James Levin and Natalie Cederquist. They offer an entire month of menus. Their recipes are pretty simple, for the most part, and they aren't nut-heavy, which I like a lot! There is also a nice section on cultured food - live sauerkraut, nut/seed cheezes, and biogenic drinks.

I SO AGREE!!!!
Plus (taken off the main page of this forum):
1. No threads/discussions dedicated to “other” approaches to raw foods. This includes such diets as 8-1-1, low-fat, low-fruit, natural hygiene, fruitarian, raw meat/dairy-eating, mono-eating, no-grains, no-fruit etc. There are boards dedicated to almost every approach to raw foods such as these mentioned above. But they will not be discussed in detail here and promoted here. Again, this board is for support of a raw and living food diet as outlined in Alissa’s book and DVD. If you don’t own the book and are not familiar with Alissa’s concept for eating raw, it is stated further down below these rules and guidelines.

I don't know why it never occurred to me to put it all on a little calendar and just count backwards if something needs to be soaked/sprouted! That will work!
LOL
Thanks again!
