I just discovered these mini-spring form (4.5X1inch) pans at Williams Sonama. They may have been around for ages but I just found them.I love that we can just have an individual pies on our own. I was going to photograph these with my strawberry pie in them but my sons and nephews have been dipping into the fridge and just helping themselves to them...which i love! These also make pies small enough for school/work lunches. Can travel easily frozen in the springpan.
Love that one prep when I normally make one pie will now be when i can make 4,5,6 or so.
Have attached photos , includes the large springform just to compare.
Oh I love a good find!:):D
Please let us know your 'finds!

I love my mug warmer - I use it to heat stuff up - slowly - like start soup the meal before you want it. I use it to melt cocoa butter. I put a thermometer in a container of water on it, it just got a little above a hundred degrees.

I use the Pampered Chef garlic pressit comes with a littlepiece that cleans out the press. But I normally just pop out the old skin and rinse and it's clean. Don't forget stainless steel gets rid of garlic and onion odors so run your hands around the inside of your sink and no more smell!

what we need is a big compartment on a press , like about 4" in diameter so itseasily cleaned out with basic disn scrub brush

Oooh! I always wondered if the mango slicers worked. :) I'll have to get one of those to take to Mexico because we eat mangos everyday for breakfast.
As for my kitchen, I like to use the cheap plastic thingees to help remove the peels from oranges and grapefruits. I found them for 50 cents in the produce section at the grocery store. The Pampered Chef has really nice ones too. Those things and my $2 salad spinner are pretty much my only tools besides my knives.

For cutting pineapples...this is pretty good.I get through a lot of pineapple.Altho with the similiar performing apple slicer, this one does not do it all in one go. With this you have to cut the Pineapple horizontally in about 1/3's and then have a go with this.It cores it too, which is great,(must have a bit of muscle to work it).
The apple slicer I photographed (to compare the sizes), is wonderful too.Do alot of slicing then smother some nut butter on top and serve to happy children. My Dutch friend always had one in her backpack with a little cutting board .After the children finished games in the park we'd use the apple slicer,(hers did 2 more than mine here, worth shopping for that one) and shazzzam kids fed!.:)
Kids like gadgets too!

This one is a bit like mine. You reverse the direction and it pushes the excess back in and you just do it again.

I use strawberry hullers. Citrus peel peelers. Crinkle cutters.
And I love my garlic press because it has the tool to clean the holes with one quicl push. I have never had it smell like garlic between uses.
Use an apple wedger to core and wedge your apples then you only have small wedges to peel and deseed.
LOL I love kitchen gadgets!

for now....
I bought a set for my Mom and one for my Aunt. They now come in three sizes to accommodate various sized pineapples.
It does require a little muscle work, but being short, I put the pineapple in a bowl and then down on a stool so I can get the best force on it.

I second the pineapple cutter that you screw into the pineapple. My citrus reamer & little hand juicer get lots of attention, plus the vitamix spatulas (use them for everything - coconuts, vm, stirring, spreading, etc)! I am very pleased with the avocado slicers (both the flexicado and the metal one) I use the saladacco more than the spirooli - but won't give up the spirooli for certain functions!

I never got a spatula with my vitamix. Is it very different from the typical spatula?
Lots of good info in your post.I do like the avocado cutter.Although I don't have one.makes for a great presentation!
