Hi Green Jeanie!

It depends on how dry the fruit it.....the dryer it is, the longer it will last. You want to keep them in a cool, dry place.

Dried bananas can keep weeks in the pantry (in a seald container) if they are dried enough. If they have too much moisture they will mold. My kids love these.

thanks guys....

yeah my big concern has come from soaking my last batch of store bought organic apricots........um let's just say they were NOT inspected with care.

about a third of them had very grody looking black spots and many had worm holes.....i am getting it that farms will take everything not suitable for produce bins and dry it ......who knows at what temp:eek:

so back to the labor of love, dyi dried fruits!:D

i would like to do a lot since i am relying on it for multiple day mountain outings it keeps me going, packs light and those dried bananas..with a little raw cacao.....i can keep my pace movin! ;)
