Hi all. I am looking into purchasing my blender, even though I have never had a green smoothie, I find myself craving one! Or at least craving to buy the blender that will make it right! LOL Anyway, I am wondering, I keep reading reviews where people say that they have had their blenders for years and years. Particularly the VitaMix blender. So that makes me wonder... if these blenders last so long, is the warranty something that I need to make sure that I have? Has anyone on here ever had to utilize their warranty for either kind of blender? If you have, where did you originally purchase it?

ETA: I think this post might be in the wrong place. So sorry about that!

I got the Blendtec which has a shorter warranty on some parts but has several advantages over the Vitamix. So far even though it's only been 6 months I think it's my blender that lasted longest without anything breaking, normally my blades would jam and need replacing every few months on my older Cuisinart and Breville blenders.

I have a review of my Blendtec on Epinions, I bought it new for $325 which I think is less than the Vitamix:
