I have started dry brushing, and I have noticed that my skin is a lot smoother, but very dry. I generally dry brush before I take a shower (is that good?), and I usually end up putting organic lotion on after my shower..... THAT is what I want to change, I have heard of people using coconut butter/oil as a lotion...but does it leave your skin greasy, does it soak in?

I would like to hear about the experiences of others who have done dry brushing....or do dry brush!

I dry brush every other morning or before I take a bath. My skin is smooth and since I live in Colorado it is very dry here so coconut oil or shea is wonderful. It does soak in. I also use coconut on my face because it removes clogged pores without harsh stringents. I hope you are dry brushing in strokes towards your heart. I hope this helps.

I don't dry brush as it's still too cold to be unclothed very long in my house! When it warms up properly. I do however use coconut oil every day and it does soak in and won't leave you greasy if you spread it out . I find it soaks in very quickly into my hands and elbows, so no worries there. It works a lot better than lotion I think, I have a ridiculous amount of lotions and they don't stop dry skin at all. :)
