I hope my brother doesn't mind when I post his pictures without his knowledge of this :P But just wanted to show you how he looks like. Before he was 62kg (136-137lb.) and white like a slice of toast bread,

5028

now after year and a half of raw diet, he weighs 54 kg! (119 lb.)
Look at him now! I am stunned.

5029

His diet is mainly of raw foods plus some baked fish and half-scrumbled eggs. No artif.supplements, just raw food! :D

looks good but i don't agree with the fish or eggs. nice abs! wonder how much better he would look at 80% raw or 100% that would be amazing..

This is what I was talking about in the discussion section. Meet people where they are. This transformation is incredible irregardless. I'm with you on 100% Raw absolutely, but we know what that's about. Let him get there on his own time. Disclaimer: This is not personal, please don't take it that way! Thank you for sharing. :)

To be 119 lbs, and have all that muscle, how tall is he?

Not super tall I wouldn't think?

He looks GREAT!!!

Well the fish and eggs aren't part of his diet that much. I think he mentioned few times that he has a go on them, but I suspect he even did quit that by now.

He's about 176cm, [5'9, 5'10ft]

I can see that the extra protein helped, but it would be awesome to see the results of an all-raw diet. Either way, this is really incredible!

People, he's 80% raw. I bet that's a bigger percentage than a lot of people here on this board, including me at times. And it's great progress. And he looks great.

Please don't rag that he needs to be that other 20% before we can say that's wonderful.

I think it's a typo that he's 119 lbs. Looks great though. Good inspiration and this can let people know that you CAN build on a high raw diet.

Cool post!
I'm already starting to see big changes coming along, and I'm only on my 4th month or so being 99% raw(I may not eat eggs or anything, but have used some canned olives, and other small exceptions like some roasted garlic in some hummus or vanilla extract...)
Makes me look forward to the months/years to come!

Wow this is really motivating to me becaise I am extremely underweight right now at 5' 10" and weight of 120 lbs.

And that is definitely a typo (the 119 lbs) because I look even thinner then the before photo at the same weight.

But very motivating for me as I feared that going raw would keep me looking like the cartoon character named "Rattle Me Bones"

But I am already as thin as a slice of ginger in the sushi dipping sauce. And certainly do not want to go any lower.

But I promised to go 100% raw for 2 weeks at least and am planning to begin in about 3 days. (After I eat up all the Tofu and rice&beans in the fridge)

Sounds like him and I follow a similar diet... fruits/veggies/fish and white meat chicken. I'm doing bodybuilding 4x a week

That's extremely impressive. Back when I went on a body-building diet and a strict regime, I didn't make anywhere near that kind of leap. I wonder if I could do better now that I'm raw.

wow he looks GREAT! Sounds like he's tuned into what's right for him now, and I'd say 80% raw is really impressive for many, even though getting to 100% would be amazing. He'll go on his own journey, and his body will tell him what's what along the way. But he looks fab right now - impressive low bodyfat, and not so bulked out the way many bodybuilders who eat a lot of cooked animal protein and artificial shakes etc. are. A raw bodybuilder is going to be more finely-wrought than those other big guys, but guess who will hold onto their muscle longer - the raw one, I'd bet, hands-down. Even Storm over at www.thegardendiet.com says similar, and he's been at it for over 30 years. Before that he was eating a good bit of meat. He looks pretty good to me, being in his late 50s, working out and being raw for that amount of time. Bravo to that brother of yours!

Wow thats just a HUUUUGE inspiration to me! I joined the raw lifestyle for just this reason! I'm pretty skinny too...like 5'11 and 155. If I can look like him after a year too...I will have you to thank for the inspiration! He looks great!!!

He's about 176cm, [5'9, 5'10ft]
Before he was 62kg (136-137lb.)
(not yet begin body building, right ?)

now after year and a half of raw diet (plus body building, right ?), he weighs 54 kg! (119 lb.)

so body building is the cause or
raw food diet is the cause of the change ?

176cm 119 lb ??
more like elite distance runner than a body builder profile ?
or i am wrong on this

i think he meant the definition of the muscles. :) being lean and "cut" you get to see more of the person's muscles, which makes 'em look bigger. :) but i'm not certain, cause i'm not him! lol that's just how i understood it... and the fellow in the pictures does indeed have a very inspiring physique!

WORD UP.

Some people don't have all the time in the world to eat and eat to get the veg protein he would need to substitute an egg or ocassional fish, not to mention vitamin B complex, one whole protein in one food.

Raw is an amzing choice I live, but there is no ONE truth. Remember that everyone! People do what works for them.

Agreed. I think one of the things that turns a lot of people off to the raw diet (and other similar approaches to "health consciousness") is the almost religious fervor and subsequent condescending attitude many people can exhibit about it.

As far as appearance goes, I really don't need to see what this guy would look like without the fish and eggs in his diet because his body looks awesome as it is. Now, as far as actual health goes, one can possibly argue from a raw foods perspective that he might be healthier without the fish and eggs. But at least give him credit for following this diet more closely than probably 90% of the general population! I mean, c'mon, give some people a break!

Thanks for sharing Sico2, even though you didn't ask your brother if it was Ok..
