Hello all. I was wondering if I could seek out some advice here. My sister finally quit her job and I was suggesting to her that she consider consulting with her physician about going on a detoxifying diet for a while to cleanse her system of the toxic place she worked. I stressed the importance of consultation because she has several significant health issues. However, I don't have any resources to forward her to. I'm not sure what approach she would most likley be open to, probably a fresh fruit/veggie approach, but I'm sure there are other ways that she would find intereting as well. Any advice or links would be greatly appreciated!

Maybe you could share your own experiences with being RAW and the Detox that has taken place with you. RAW is one of the Best way of Detoxing. Also Check out the Juicing and Fasting Section on this Forum.

a nice 10 day fast will get things moving for her. i would juice FEAST rather than fast in this case to keep the detox slow. a green smoothie feast would be good as well...
of course raw foods are cleansing and healing on their own... so that's always a great way to detox!
i also really like renew life products. they have a product "cleanse smart" ... it's great.

Thanks so much for her responses. To be honest, I am not currently raw or even vegetarian. I am doing my own research for myself and my needs. I agree just eating raw or even vegetarian is cleansing in itself. It just so happened that my sister up and quit her job kind of out of the blue and I thought that I would try to find some information for her as well. At least to get her started. Some of her health issues to take into consideration are adult onset diabetes that is still managed with diet and some medication (not insulin), rheumatoid arthritis and hypertension (the day whe quit her job, her bp was 160/110!) so she will most definatley have to be in cohoots with her doctor. I'm just afraid that she will be with a doctor who doesn't see the value in anything other than traditional western medicine.
